Battle At Light

The sun rose, painting the sky. The air was warmer south of the Shark Sea than it was north of it. The day was clear. The forest to the east had been burned to ashes. A few trees remained standing near the base of the mountain. The mountains were barren of life. The land was a desolate place that would never again hold life.

The entire Kingdom of Light was destroyed, even worse than the Towers. The scavengers left once they had depleted the kingdom of all valuables. Everyone has been brutally murdered and Leviathan was the only living soul there. He looked around at the charred remains of civilization. He smiled. Finally, after hours of waiting, he could smell Lavernius. He waited where the market was. It was a nice open area and just south of the harbor. Leviathan sat down on some rubble and waited patiently for Lavernius to arrive. He was sure he wouldn't make it in time. Time passed slowly. He saw something coming toward him from the north. He knew it was Lavernius. His heart skipped a beat. He felt excitement. Lavernius was close.

"How did you find me?" he asked

"I followed your trail. I must admit, I am surprised you are still alive." Leviathan said

"Why do you care?" Lavernius asked

"Because you are the enemy." Leviathan said

Leviathan stood up and unsheathed his swords. Lavernius got into a defensive stance. The Titan charged the man at godspeed. Lavernius dodged the mighty attacks. Leviathan swung his swords repeatedly; however, Lavernius blocked each one. Then, Lavernius kicked the Titan and sent him flying through the market. Lavernius immediately charged him, before he could stand. Leviathan quickly rolled out of the way and stood up. Lavernius ran at him with his sword raised high. He slashed at the Titan multiple times. Each strike made its mark as it ripped into the Titan's flesh. Blood flew everywhere, mixing with the dirt around the two combatants.

The Titan lunged at the man and tried to cut him in half. Lavernius avoided the attack but was not able to block it. He was hit in the chest and collapsed to his knees. Leviathan regenerated fully and wasn't even trying. Lavernius was somehow not injured. He stood up and prepared for another assault. He was about to swing when Leviathan brought his sword down on him. The Titan's blade pierced Lavernius' chest. He was able to dodge out of the way in time before the blade cut too deep.

Leviathan moved fast and at an increasing rate. Lavernius was unable to keep up, he went full defense against the Titan. The Titan tried to slice Lavernius in half horizontally, but the man was able to block.

Lavernius swung his sword toward the Titan's neck. Leviathan was quick and easily blocked it. Before Lavernius could counter, the Titan jumped on top of him. The Titan hovered his sword above his chest and slowly pressed down. Lavernius screamed, and was able to push the Titan off him. The wound slowly healed and Leviathan's eyes were full of rage.

Lavernius gripped his sword tightly and clashed with Leviathan once again. They fought ferociously. After slashing Leviathan in the stomach, Lavernius tried to stab him in the throat. But it was no use. The Titan had regenerated so many times by now that his wounds could heal instantaneously.

The Titan lunged at the man again. Lavernius blocked the attack with his sword and tried to counterattack. The Titan was faster and dodged the attack. He then came back at him with a powerful horizontal slash. Lavernius barely managed to parry it. He rolled back to get some distance from the monster. But before he knew it, the Titan was already face-to-face with him. Leviathan was rushing Lavernius to overwhelm him, but it had the opposite effect. He was smaller and more agile than Leviathan so he could move around him quicker. He slashed at his legs and made him fall to his knees. Lavernius increased his speed and strength and inflicted as much damage as he could in a second. With accuracy, he focused on the gaps between his armor. The Titan roared in pain. When the man was in front of him, he tried to bite his face off. Lavernius punched his jaw and forced him away. When the beast stood up, Lavernius noticed that his regeneration was slower than before. He was getting tired. Both of them were near their limits.

Once again, Lavernius dashed and did as much damage as he could. Leviathan fell to his knees and the bleeding wouldn't stop. He held his hand on the deeper ones. Leviathan tried to stand, before he could fully, Lavernius dashed and cut at his throat. Leviathan put his hand on his neck and tried to stop the bleeding. His skin was too tough for Lavernius to cut through in one swing. Leviathan knew when Lavernius swung again, his head would be chopped off of his shoulders.

Lavernius got into his stance again. Before he could swing, the Titan roared and tried to muster as much Energy as he could. The bleeding began to stop. Lavernius knew that he had to cut the head off to kill him. He ran as fast as he could and sliced the back of the Titan's neck. His blade went through and Leviathan's head fell to the ground, but his body was still standing.

"Impossible..." Lavernius said, staring at his body.

Suddenly his beheaded body started walking towards him. Lavernius dashed and sliced his legs. The instant his sword made contact, it shattered like glass. He stood up and ran over to one of the swords Lavernius dropped. The most amazing and terrifying thing happened, his head began to regenerate. He rushed over with the obsidian sword and cut him down.

The Titan's body was still regenerating. Lavernius used plasma Energy to disintegrate the body. Finally, the Titan was dead. Lavernius fell to his knees. He remained silent for a while before standing up.

"How was that possible? I cut off his head..." Lavernius said to himself

He walked over to where the Titan was slain. The only things left were his sword and his armor. He picked up the other blade and holstered it on his waist, with his brother's broken sword. He set up camp in a broken down building and fell asleep.
