The Journey's End

The suns had risen and the sky was bright blue. A flock of birds flew by and circled around the palace. They landed on top of the dome and began to chirp happily. A breeze blew and Lavernius felt fresh cool air fill the room. He looked outside and saw the birds flying around and singing songs. It was beautiful. There was a warm feeling inside of him that he hadn't felt in ages. He placed his hands on the railings of the balcony. Peace. He was at peace. Now with his journey finally over, Lavernius could relax. He took off his sheath with his sword in it and leaned it against the rails. He took off his armor and threw it on the floor behind him. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the sunshine and the sounds of nature. He smiled and opened his eyes.

"It's over now." Lavernius said out loud.

"Yes. The longest adventure ever." Owen said

"I hope Kayotic was able to save himself." Lavernius said

"I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't." Owen said

"Yeah..." Lavernius said

"What now?" Owen asked

"I think I might stay here. The other world would try and kill me. Here I am free." Lavernius said

"Now your brother is free too." Owen said

"He can finally rest." Lavernius said

"That's true." Owen said

"This place is quite empty." Lavernius said

"The palace is massive, but the only furniture in it is the throne." Owen said

"Isn't this where He lived? Why isn't there anything?" Lavernius asked

"It is interesting." Owen said

Lavernius walked over his armor on the floor, over to the throne. The throne had a mixture of gems that it was made out of. It was very vibrant with the different colors. Lavernius ran his hand across the back of it. It was bumpy but smooth. It was cold to the touch. When the sun's rays pierced the throne, all of its jewels glowed brightly. It was a sight to behold. He sat down on it and took off his cloak. He felt comfortable. The throne faced the balcony. After sitting down he smiled.
