While Namaru is mastering Chidori up until the point he can use it without hand seals, Sakura is busy making him outfits for school, and Sarada gives him an old outfit of Shirane's...his original outfit from when he became a Genin, which she repaired, resized, and put the Uchiha crest on before giving it to Namaru. Namaru decided to wear it his first day to the academy, but whan that time came around, he absolutely refused to leave the house, and argues with Sakura.
"I don't wanna go. They're going to make fun of me."
Sakura, already beginning to look visibly irritated, tries to convice Namaru.
"But then you get to wear your dad's old outfit. You look so good in it."
Namaru, very adamant about not going to school, screams at Sakura.
"I said NO!"
Namaru runs upstairs to his room and locks the door shut. Sakura goes up there, absolutely livid, and punches the door completely off its runners and into the opposite wall.
"I SAID YOU ARE GOING TO SCHOOL, AND THAT'S FINAL! NOW PUT THAT OUTFIT ON, AND LET'S GO!"
Namaru continues screaming.
"You're not my mom!"
Just then, Sarada walks into the room.
"She may not be, but I am. Make me come in here again, and you'll heavily regret it. Now get ready for school, and follow your grandma there. If I have to tell you a second time, you better hope your grandma gets to you before I do, or the kids will REALLY make fun of you for being dragged to the academy by your ear!"
Namaru hangs his head in defeat.
"Yes, mom."
Namaru puts on Shirane's old outfit, and follows Sakura to the academy. They barely make it there on time, and Namaru is greeted and shown to his class by Naruto himself, where Naruto calls Namaru's teacher out into the hall.
"Something wrong, Lord Hokage?"
Naruto shakes his head.
"Not at all, Shino. I just wanted to, personally, introduce you to your newest student. This is Namaru Uchiha. He's Sasuke's other grandson and has really piqued my interest. He also has a unique Dojutsu that seems to be specific to him, and I would greatly appreciate it if you would help keep the other kids off of his back."
Shino looks down at a depressed-looking Namaru.
"Well, hey there, Namaru. I am Shino Aburame, and I'll be your teacher while you're here. I even taught your older brother while he was here, and don't worry, as the Hokage has asked, I will definitely help keep the other kids off your back, while you're here, to the best of my ability. You should have absolutely nothing to worry about. What do you say we go on in and get you seated?"
Namaru says nothing and reluctantly follows Shino into the room, and is properly seated next to a kid dressed very differently from the rest, and near a pretty girl with pure white eyes. Shino walks back up to the front of the class to continue his lesson, and after a while someone brings up Namaru's eye.
"Look at his eye. It's so weird. You're a freak. Wait, I know that symbol on your clothing. You're another Uchiha brat. No wonder you walked in here without a warning or anything. Once again, this Academy favors the Uchiha Clan. They always have just because Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha attended this very academy. You're probably related to the bozos."
Shino speaks up.
"Daichi. Knock it off and sit down, now, so I can continue my lesson."
Daichi, of course, completely disregards Shino's warning, and continues to antagonize Namaru. Namaru closes his eyes to hide them from the other students.
"Don't close your eyes! Open them back up, you Uchiha freak!"
Daichi jumps back and throws a Kunai that he stole from his dad at Namaru, and it's headed straight for his eye. Before Shino can react, Namaru decided he had had enough. He opens his eyes to reveal a 3 tomoe Sharingan in each eye, and catches the Kunai at the last possible second without even remotely looking at it, and just looks at Daichi, saying absolutely nothing. Shino just stands there, completely taken aback by the fact that Namaru was only 8, and had already awakened his 3 tomoe Sharingan. Namaru spins the Kunai around, coating it in flames, and throws it back at Daichi. It soars past his head and sticks straight into the wall behind him. Shino finally gets his wits about him and screams.
"THAT IS ENOUGH! DAICHI, SIT DOWN RIGHT NOW! NAMARU, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOU IMMEDIATELY AFTER CLASS TO DISCUSS WHAT JUST HAPPENED!"
Daichi begrudgingly returns to his desk, but before moving to sit down, he whispered something to Namaru.
"Teacher's pet."
This little comment drives Namaru through the roof, and he reaches into his own Kunai pouch, provided by Sasuke, and throws another Kunai with precision accuracy, without even looking, due to his Sharingan. This one cuts straight through Daichi's hair, his long, red, locks falling to the ground. Namaru had performed this task in one quick, seamless movement, one that Shino didn't even see, until Namaru's arm was completely outstretched, and Daichi was missing half of his hair. The rest of the class turns to stare directly at Namaru, who supresses his Sharingan, and simply turns to Daichi.
"Call me a teacher's pet again, and next time it will be the rest of your hair. Insult my FAMILY again, and it'll be your life."
Namaru turns to face Shino again. Shino finally realized what just happened and spoke again.
"I want to see both of you after class...in the Hokage's office. It is only day one, and I'm already fed up with your bickering. I'm half tempted to just kick you both out of my class, but that final decision goes to the Hokage. Now sit down, so I can continue my lesson, or I will bind you both to your chairs with my Parasitic Insects."
Namaru, who was already seated had nothing to worry about. Daichi, on the other hand, was still standing. He quickly sat down, and looked at Shino quietly, while screaming internally about his hair that he prized so much, and took him his entire life, so far, to grow. As soon as class is over, Shino has Daichi clean up his hair, then escorts Daichi and Namaru to the Hokage office. Shino knocks on the door.
"Come in."
Shino walks in, holding Namaru and Daichi by the wrists. Namaru is just letting it happen, but with a grimace. Daichi, on the other hand, is struggling. Shino stops directly in front of the Hokage Desk, and releases the two. Naruto looks at the two of them, then to Shino.
"Something wrong?"
Shino wastes no time explaining everything to Naruto.
"Yes. These two both caused a scene in my class earlier today. A scene that showed me something, and resulted in Daichi's hair being cut by a flying Kunai."
Naruto is immediately thrown off-guard and nearly curses. He stops himself, though, as he's in front of children.
"What the- I mean, well, how did it start?"
Shino begins to speak.
"Half way through my lesson, Daichi-"
Naruto cuts off Shino before he even has time to get any further.
"That's all I needed to hear. I'll have Daichi expelled immediately. He should know better. I thought his father would have had enough sense to teach him virtues like respect."
Daichi goes white as a sheet, knowing as soon as his parents find out, he's a dead man. Luckily, for him, Shino speaks up.
"There's no need for that. Couldn't you just transfer him into another class?"
Naruto nods with a response.
"I could...if there were any other classes with available seats. I don't have any other choice but to either expel him, or keep him in your class, but under the highest supervision. One more screw up, and the Anbu bring him right back here."
Shino weighs the options for a second, but can't really decide on one.
"I would rather not have the Anbu constantly stalking my class. It would make me feel uneasy. Just...do what you have to do, Lord 7th."
Naruto nods and turns to the children.
"Children, can you go wait out in the hall. My wife, Hinata, is out there to keep you two in line. I need to speak with Mr. Aburame in private."
The children nod and leave the room. Once the door is shut, Naruto looks at Shino.
"What all went down in that room today? You said this scene that they caused showed you something. What was that something?"
Shino shakes his head at Naruto's misunderstanding.
"It wasn't just one thing. It was a few. One, Namaru can coat ninja tools in elements, and he's not even a Genin yet. Two, he has the reflexes of a Jonin. Finally, there's number 3...He has awakened a full 3 tomoe Sharingan in each eye, which is something no student has done...ever. Not even Sasuke had a full 3 tomoe in each eye when he fought Gaara in the Chunin exams all those years ago. For Namaru to have a 3 tomoe Sharingan at the age of 8, before he's even a Genin, he must have a ton of unmanifested talent."
Naruto doesn't really show much emotional change as he interrupts Shino.
"While I believe he does, I also think Sasuke played a part in this, somehow. I'll have a talk with him about it."
Naruto sits quietly in his chair for a moment then screams from beyond the door.
"Alright, you two can come back in, now."
This time, Hinata is carrying them in...off the ground...by their ankles. Both are squirming in her grasp. She finally drops them and they scramble to their feet.
"These two have done nothing but bicker the entire time they've been out there."
Naruto studies everyone's facial expressions for a moment before speaking.
"I have made my decision."
Everyone looks at Naruto in anticipation. Naruto looks between the two kids and speaks.
"I will immediately have Daichi removed from your class and put into another one, and swap someone else with him. He will also be suspended for two weeks. As for Namaru, he will remain in your class until he graduates. Once he turns 10, though, I wish for him to meet with me everyday after class at the training grounds. Everyone is dismissed."
Namaru returns home and rushes straight to his room, without even stopping to give Sarada a hug, which he always does when coming home or leaving. By the time he gets to his room, his door has already been set back into place. He opens his door shuts it, and sits at his desk to do his homework. Soon, Sarada walks into the room, shuts the door behind her, and kneels down next to Namaru.
"Hey. You didn't give me a hug when you walked in. Is something wrong?"
Namaru puts his pencil down and doesn't even look at Sarada as he speaks.
"I told you it would happen."
Sarada looks mildlu concerned, now.
"What, Namaru?"
Namaru finally looks at Sarada and screams.
"I got made fun of, mom...all because of his stupid Kirokugan and being an Uchiha!"
Namaru leaves the chair and walks over to his bed only to flop in it, hiding his face from the world. Sarada walks over to the bed and kneels dow next to it before speaking encouragingly to Namaru.
"It is NOT stupid. You were born with it, and it suits you perfectly, same with the Uchiha name."
Namaru turns to her with tears in his eyes.
"I don't want to go back. Let me go with dad on his journeys. I can't bear to go back to that school. Especially now that all the students in my class know about my Kirokugan. I'm going to be incessantly called a freak."
Sarada shakes her head.
"You'll be alright. You have a variety of special qualities. Why don't you use them?"
Namaru raises his head and looks at his mother before speaking sarcastically.
"Sure, I'm just going to burn my problems away with fire style. Or pierce them with the Chidori."
Sarada places a hand on Namaru's head, shaking her head once more.
"I'm not talking about your Ninjutsu. I'm talking about you being a nice kid. You're smart, funny, talented, and you're a people person (meaning he can carry on a conversation very well). If anyone took the time to get to know you, they would find that you are a great person."
Namaru lays his head back down, burying his face into his pillow, once more.
"I don't wanna be like I am at home. Not at school. I would much rather not get to know people, and people not get to know me."
Sarada remains silent for a couple of minutes, thinking to herself, then continues speaking.
"Well, fine, then. Just keep to yourself, and do your work. Just promise me no more fights."
Namaru, once again, looks at his mother.
"You know about that?"
Sarada nods and responds.
"Of course. While you were on your way home, the Hokage sent us a messenger hawk that explained what happened at school, even though he could have called, instead. Just do your best tomorrow. As for right now, finish your homework. I'll call you when dinner's ready."
Namaru spends the next couple hours doing his homework, and after a filling dinner, he heads to bed to prepare for the next day, and the next few years, of Academy.
