Where did he hear that? Jaysa wondered.
"Well, my people. I will now have an open door policy. This means, at a certain time on certain days, I will open my doors allowing anyone that has a question or concern can come to me. Instead of having these concerns said to one another or falling on deaf ears, I want to listen. I want to help build our Kingdom better than it already was. I will give more information about the open policy in time to come. Now the second is, in two hours there will be another hanging." Words were heard around the crowds. "The reason for this was the fact that this person did not only harm a woman, but lied to his King about it. I know that many of you have seen my wife strolling the market area. Well, she saw something horrible happening and tried to stop it and protect a life. In the process, this man harmed my wife. When I questioned the man, he flatly lied to his King about what happened. This was the second crime that involved someone lying to their King." Danzel paused for a moment. "What makes one feel betrayed is the fact that this person was someone that was supposed to be faithful, especially to his King. However, now that he had committed one of the worse crimes that that you could possibly commit. His punishment is…" Danzel took another pause before beginning again. "…death by hanging. So please meet us at the platform in two hours." Danzel turned and headed back into the castle. Jaysa was following him.
Once the two were in the castle, Jaysa spoke out to her husband.
"What is this open door business?" Danzel stopped and turned to face Jaysa. "Are you punishing the village or something? If they say something that you don't like or agree with, that you plan to throw them into jail." Danzel stared at his wife for a moment before speaking.
"I will throw no one in jail. I just have a feeling that you'll want to have something like that since you always tell me that I don't understand my own Kingdom or its people."
"So you're…" Jaysa began to ask slowly.
"Yes," he replied. "I will have this open door policy to learn what my people fear, or how to make their lives better." Jaysa couldn't help but smile. She ran over to her husband and kissed him on the lips. He kissed her back and wrapped his arms around his wife. He pulled back just to say a couple of words. "I said before, once this was done, that I was going to fuck you so hard that you'll still think that I'm inside you even when I'm not." Jaysa blushed.
"Then tonight we will-,"
"No," Danzel spoke as he took her lips. He pulled back and spoke. "Now."
"But we don't have much time." He smirked as he dragged her to an empty room. He opened the door and pulled her inside.
"Two hours is long enough." He kissed her again and shut the door.
A crowd was forming around the platform. Everyone was wondering what type of person the man was that the King would feel betrayed by. Jaysa and Danzel sat under the marquee awaiting the even to start. Again Jaysa was forced to watch someone's life end. She did not know if she could watch every time someone commits a crime. The same masked man walked up to the platform and waited for his pray. Another man that she saw at Horris's hanging was also on the stand. He had a scroll in his hand and began to read. Jaysa listened as he read the man's name and crimes.
"Sir Jackel S Smith is to be sentence to death by hanging. His crime was lying to his majesty." The man continued speaking and Jaysa no longer cared. So now she knew the man's name that tried to harm her and have his majesty doubt her as well.
"Your Majesty." Jaysa heard the guard yell out."
"I'm telling you made a big mistake. If you allow that wrench of yours rule you, our Kingdom will go to the shits." Jaysa looked at her husband who wore a smirk. He was taking nothing the man was saying to heart. She smiled at her husband. The sound of the man's neck cracking meant the hanging was now over. Jaysa sighed. She watched as her husband stood up. She followed. Jaysa followed her husband back inside the castle.
Talk of the guards hanging spread through not only the castle, but the grounds of the Kingdom as well. People spoke of what the guard had done and now know that if the guards try to harm any of the villagers, there would be consequences.
