Chapter 141

Martin stared down form the window in the castle. He was growing as he watched the display that had played outside. He was really hoping that the woman would have jumped on the wagon and left with the man. However, nothing has ever gone right for him. A knock was heard and re responded to it. Franken walked into the room and nodded his head in respect.

"The merchant had left." He spoke out.

"I see that." Martin replied while still staring outside. The three bodies were no longer outside. So only thing he was looking at was the scenery of the towns below.

"So, what are we going to do now?" Franken questioned. Martin turned to look at the man.

"Nothing." Franken didn't say a word. Martin walked over to his chair and sat down. He intertwined his fingers. "Like what I said before. I'm sure my nephew knows what's going one. He may have someone keeping his eye on me from now on. I can't have someone watching me and catching me in the act. There would be no pint in that." Martin stood back up and turned towards the window. He looked at nothing, but never changed his gaze as he spoke. "Ever since I was little. I wanted to have the crown from out father. I was the right person for it. Yet it was my brother that was eligible for the crown not me." Martin sighed. He put his arms behind his back. "I asked my father why I wasn't able to take the throne. I knew so much more than my brother. I was a better candidate than my brother. My father replied to me, 'that's the law'. What bullshit." The man cursed. "I watched as my brother was crowned King. Watched him when he married his wife. Have a child. He had everything that I wanted." Franken was unsure to speak out to the man or stay quiet. His mouth began to move anyway.

"Is it's a family that you waned. You could, no, can still get one."

] "That's not the point." Marin turned to face the Lieutenant. His voice was harsh as he spoke out. "I wasn't King. I could any woman I want. As many as I want. Even if I had a woman, that still wouldn't change the fact that I am not King." Martin took a deep breath after he finished yelling and slowly let it out. "So I finally took action and made plans on how to get the crown." Martin turned back to the window. His voice low. "I had to kill my brother and his wife. Of course I had to make it look like it was a natural death. Something that no one would suspect it to be murder, nor would it be traced to me. After what happened to my brother. I was able to become King just like I wanted. Yet, there was still a problem, and that was Danzel. My brother's son. I needed to stop him from getting the crown. But I couldn't do it all by myself.

"That's why you used me."

"The King would never look at one of his own. So I knew that you would be a good candidate. Also," Martin turned his head a but to look at the man. "You have always been my trusted subordinate, even before Danzel became King."

"Yes. I do believe that you are the rightful Ling. That's why I would do anything to help you get the crown that is rightfully yours." Martin could hear the passion in the man's voice. Knowing he was truly loyal to him. Martin turned his head back out to the window.

"That's why I trust you the most." Franken nodded a little. "With our conversation from earlier. I want to say. We will not move for a while. I need everything that happened the last couple of days to disappear from the King's mind." Martin turned his head to again looked at the man behind him. "You should also be careful. I'm sure that merchant brought up your name and my nephews. So if he talks to you. You know what to do."

"Yes sir." Franken responded. Martin looked back out the window.

"You may leave now." Martin spoke to the man. Franken did a small now and left.

Danzel, Jaysa, and Madison made their way back into the castle. Madison talked Jaysa into going the library to show off the new outfit that she had just finished. Danzel waived the two females away and made his own way to another room.

Walking into the strategy room that was completely used to coming into. He was met with a man dressed in a white robe. The man gently smiled at Danzel as he entered the room.

"So, did everything go well?" Joseph questioned. Danzel made his way over to a chair that sat by a wall on the far right of the room. There were several maps that hung just above his head.

"Of course." Danzel said before plopping into the chair. He looked up at the older man. "I finally got rid of a huge nuisance." Joseph just chuckled a bit. "What about you?" Danzel questioned.

"Yes." Joseph started. "I looked into everything that you asked me of."

"I hope I hear good things." Danzel spoke out. He crossed his legs and rested his head on his hand that was a fist. His elbow rested on the arm of the chair.

"I have found the person that had sold that drug sonra that Jaysa was about to ingest."

"And what did you find who bought it?" Danzel asked.

"The man was very tight lipped. No matter how much I bribed the man. He wouldn't nudge. He said that he would never give out his client information." Danzel clicked his tongue in irritation.

"What about Levi? Was that really just a coincidence that he happened to end up in Kingdom?" Joseph nodded.
