"Why wouldn't he. I don't care for that man at all." Jaysa spoke. "Enough. We are going to drop this." Jaysa started to head the way the man had gone. She hoped they didn't run into each other again. She just wanted to find Danzel.
Jaysa saw Joseph shut the door behind him. Usually, if she found Joseph, that meant Danzel was not far away.
"Joseph." Jaysa yelled out. Joseph looked up at the young woman. Jaysa caught the wretched expression his face before it changed to his gentle smile.
"What are you doing here your highness?" Jaysa returned the smile.
"I am here to speak with my husband. Have you by chance seen the man around?" Jaysa was unsure whether or not to ask about what was wrong with the man. There were so many things that she didn't know about. Danzel kept her in the dark with many things. Maybe not to stress her out. So she decided not to dwell too much on it.
"Oh. If you are looking for his majesty. He is in the room."
"Are you guys done talking? Or do you still…"
"No." Joseph started. "We are finished. We have no more business. So he is all yours."
"Thank you." Joseph looked over and saw Madison standing behind her. He flashed the young teenager a smile as well before he made his way around the two and down the hall.
Jaysa watched the man for a second before turning to the door. She opened it and walked in. She scanned the room and found her husband sitting on a chair. One leg was crossed over his other one. He leaned to the side as his head was tilting in his fist. Danzel's arm rested on the side of the chair. Jaysa walked up to him. He must've been in deep thought, due to him not noticing her presence until after she said his name.
"Danzel." Danzel moved his eyes up and notice his wife.
"What are you doing here?" The man questioned. His voice held frustration. Whatever the two men talked about. She could tell that he was clearly in a bad mood. She may not be able to get what she wanted today if this was the mood he was going to be in.
"I know that you have said this for a while, but…." Jaysa stopped for a moment. "I just can't take this anymore." Jaysa's voice was louder than normal as she spoke. Danzel sat up straight and looked up at his wife.
"What do you mean?" Danzel questioned. What was it that she couldn't take anymore?
"I feel caged in like this. I need to be free." Jaysa explained. Danzel stood up quickly and grabbed onto Jaysa's shoulders.
"What are you talking about. Are you saying that you want to leave the castle? Me? I won't allow it!" Danzel began to yell. Jaysa was a bit confused to why he was suddenly talking about leaving him.
"No. That's not what you meant."
"Then what did you mean?" Danzel stared into Jaysa's eyes.
"I just wanted to say. I can't stay cooped up in the castle. I need to go spread my wings a bit. Let me get out of the castle and go to the market. Let me go see my friends. I'll even take some guards with me. I just need to get out of here." Danzel eyes showed the relief of whatever he was thinking was not true. He took in a sigh.
"So, it's not that you want to leave me, it's more of just wanting to get some fresh air."
"Yes that is what I am asking for. I have been staying in this castle for too long. Before you would actually allow me to go to the market or even to my friend's place. But since I got pregnant. You have not let me do much. I can't just stay in the library the entire time. I'm so bored. I need to go out and—"
"That's fine." Jaysa stopped for a moment.
"Wait. What did you say?" Jaysa asked. She didn't know if she heard right.
"I said that it was fine." Danzel repeated. "I don't want to you feel like you are being caged up. I know that I have kept you in the castle. I wanted to keep you safe, but never caged up. So. If you really want to go. You can. As long as you do have someone with you. You got that?" Jaysa smiled at her husband. She wrapped her hands around his neck. She pulled him closer to her and planted a short kiss on his lips.
"Thank you." Danzel grinned. He kissed her a few more times. Jaysa let go of her husband and walked over to Madison.
"So, where would you like to go?"
