Chapter 248 ( Only Option )

"I still don't understand why, sensei wanted to change weapons" - said Ayane while looking at her subordinate.

"I don't know, but honestly it doesn't seem like a bad decision to me" - replied Makoto while a small smile appeared on her face - "It just shows how superior the spear is to the swords."

"I don't think that's the reason why sensei decided to use the spear" - replied Ayane seriously.

"Hmm... you have a good point... I guess it has to be because someone sent him that spear and it has to be important" - Makoto muttered while remembering the spear that Cloud was now carrying around - "Although if I'm honest with you, I feel something strange coming from that thing."

"I know..." - Ayane said worriedly - "Every time I get close to that spear, I feel like something is watching me..."

"Yeah... I feel something similar too..." - Makoto replied while shaking her head - "But no matter how much I try to find the source of the gaze, I always end up more confused than usual."

". . ." - the two girls were silent as they shook their heads.

"Ayane-chan!" - Iori exclaimed as she entered the room.

"Iori-chan? What's wrong with you?" - Ayane asked in surprise as she heard the almost lilac-blue haired girl's racing voice.

"Why didn't you do anything when Keiko-san left with that boy!" - Iori exclaimed with annoyance - "She betrayed us for a boy!"

". . ." - Makoto closed her eyes when she heard this as Ayane shook her head.

"Why aren't you saying anything, Ayane-chan!" - Iori exclaimed in irritation.

"Because if I'm being honest, I knew this moment would come" - Ayane replied as her subordinate nodded.

"You could see it coming from afar" - added Makoto calmly as she looked at the last recruit.

". . ." - Iori gave them a glance before running off in search of the traitor because despite no longer being part of the Asahinata clan, she was still using one of their laws, traitors deserved punishment.

"Should we go stop her?" - Makoto asked as she looked at her leader and friend.

"No..." - Ayane replied calmly as she shook her head - "With this, she'll be able to shake off the annoyance she feels."

"There's only a few weeks left until [Dragons Rioting] starts..." - Cloud muttered as he sighed as he remembered how fast time was passing - "At least my [Spear Mastery] already reached level 10... maybe I should continue with another weapon so I can start realizing my plans of getting [Weapon Mastery]."

Cloud squinted his eyes for a few seconds before using his spear to block the attack coming straight for his face - ". . ."

"Nice reflexes!" - exclaimed a messy brown-haired boy excitedly - "Although I have to admit that thing is extremely tough because my leg hurts a bit!"

"Not the best way to start a conversation, kid" - said Cloud neutrally as he took his spear firmly and pointed it in the direction of his attacker's - "You could have at least introduced yourself first."

"Oh, right... It's just that my grandfather told me some things about you and I was excited to find out how strong you are!" - exclaimed the boy as he scratched his cheek in embarrassment - "My name is Kamui and I'm the grandson of the headmaster of Nangokuren."

". . ." - Cloud narrowed his eyes as he felt how the boy's aura was much thicker and more massive than that of the boys he knew, even Kyōka didn't have an aura as firm as Kamui's - "I see... I guess you came to check how true your grandfather's words are."

"Exactly... though now that I feel your aura I can say for sure that he didn't lie to me..." - Kamui replied as a fiery aura surrounded him.

Cloud's eyes widened in surprise because it was the first time he had ever seen someone have an elemental aura.

"Surprised? This is the unique effect of the martial art I am heir to" - replied Kamui proudly - "But let's leave that for another time, I already discovered what I came to check and I'm satisfied."

"You may be" - Cloud said as he appeared in front of the boy with his spear in hand - "But I'm not satisfied in the least!"

Kamui quickly stepped back as he looked at the blond in surprise because he had moved so fast that he hadn't seen it coming - ". . ."

"Good reflexes..." - Cloud said neutrally as he felt his blood begin to burn in the face of a good fight.

"I didn't come here to fight, Cloud" - Kamui said as he looked at the blond boy - "At least not for now... I feel like it would be a waste if we fought here..."

". . ." - Cloud was silent for a few seconds before calming down because he felt his spear start to vibrate - "Ok... I just hope you won't attack me again... because next time I won't stop."

"No promises" - Kamui said before disappearing from the place.

When he was a safe distance away, Kamui looked back earnestly - "For a second I saw his eyes change shape..."

". . ." - Kamui was silent for a few seconds before shaking his head - "Anyway, I'd better continue looking for the Anaconda to solve my problem..."

"Hmm... that aura is new..." - Kyōka muttered while squinting her eyes as she felt an aura that was a bit superior to her own - "I guess things will be a lot more fun from now on."

"What's wrong, Kyōka-sama?" - Kako asked as she looked at her leader, or rather the expression on his face.

"I was just thinking that things are about to get crazy" - answered Kyōka as a small feral smile appeared on her face.

"Are you saying that because now that first year boy, Rintarō is about to join the [Dragons Rioting]?" - Kako asked as she cocked her head to the side.

"No, it's not that" - answered Kyōka while shaking her head - "While interesting, his aura doesn't compare to the one I just felt."

"Another aura?" - Kako asked with a frown - "Is it as strong as Cloud Strife's?"

"Hmm... Cloud hasn't shown his full aura so I wouldn't know, but what I can assure you is that he's much stronger than the aura I just felt" - answered Kyōka while closing her eyes in boredom - "Because to the aura I felt just now, it's only a little stronger than mine right now..."

". . ." - Kako was silent as she thought whether it was a good idea to go find that person so that she could join Kyōka and they could stop Cloud Strife once and for all.

"I don't think it's a good idea to go along with your idea, Kako" - Kyōka said while looking at her subordinate - "A person that strong can't be anyone's subordinate because it would hurt her pride as a martial artist".

"I understand what you are trying to say, Kyōka-sama" - said Kako seriously - "I promise you that I won't say those words again."

"You don't have to be so serious about everything, my friend" - said Kyōka while shaking her head - "Just relax a bit and find some hobby or something like that."

"I understand... I'll take your words into consideration, Kyōka-sama" - said Kako seriously while Kyōka shook her head again.

"I see you're back, my grandson" - said Yonemitsu as he looked at the brown-haired boy - "And from what I see, you did well"

"Yes... he's as strong as you said" - replied Kamui with a smile that quickly disappeared - "Although there's something strange about him..."

"Strange? How?" - Yonemitsu asked with surprise and curiosity.

"I feel like he has a split personality or something..." - Kamui replied while frowning and tilting his head - "No... it feels like he has two auras inside him."

"Hmm... interesting analogy..." - Yonemitsu said as he started to think - "I guess I'll find out when I fight him."

"Grandfather... I want to fight him too" - said Kamui seriously - "That's why I'm asking you to let me do it after [Dragons Rioting]"

"Hmm... I guess I could do it, although if I'm being honest, I'd rather you do it before" - Yonemitsu answered seriously - "I'm telling you because I'm going to fight with everything I've got and I don't want your fight to be marred by injury or damage"

"I guess you're right..." - Kamui muttered as he frowned - "Well, I'm going to challenge him on the weekend."

"Weekend?" - Yonemitsu asked in surprise.

"Exactly, I'm going to use these days so I can discover the Anaconda to cure my illness."

". . ." - Yonemitsu just gave his grandson a blank look as he shook his head because if he was honest, he didn't believe at all that supposed prophetic revelation his grandson had heard - "If that makes you happy... follow your heart."

"I feel there is a huge misunderstanding, but thank you grandfather" - smiled Kamui as he continued his journey to find his 'destined person'.

"It's not me who has the misunderstanding, but you, my grandson" - replied Yonemitsu as he saw that Kamui had left his room - "That prophecy seemed to say that your only option would be to become homosexual..."
