Chapter 539 ( Abduction )
Cloud was silent, looking at the campfire with a calm gaze, as if the fire helped to leave all his troubles behind.
"What are you thinking?" - Kyōka asked while looking at the blonde-haired dragon.
"Nothing in particular, I was just thinking about the future" - Cloud answered as he continued to look at the fire.
He wasn't lying because he was thinking about how this kind of situation would become more and more recurrent, more so if they took into account that they would be constantly intervening in the pre-established flow of the [Dimensional Will].
"Dinner is ready ~" - Kyoko said with a smile as she walked to where her traveling companions were.
"Thank you" - Cloud replied with a small smile, only to frown when he felt a presence nearby.
"Cloud?" - Kyoko said in confusion.
"Shh, there's someone nearby" - said Kyōka seriously as she walked to her friend.
Sora, Mimi, and the others, were also alert because they could sense the bad intentions of the unwanted guest.
Cloud kept quietly looking around because he knew it wasn't a good idea to stray too far from Kyōka and Kyoko, not when the Chimera Ant King was strong, or at least on a similar level to Netero in his base form.
He had managed to sense a fraction of the king's power, so he was almost certain of this assumption, and he didn't know if there was any way he could tell if he had gotten stronger or not.
"What do we do, Cloud?" - Kyōka asked as he looked around with a frown.
"For now we'll pretend like nothing happened, the moment the one responsible makes his move, we'll counterattack, though I ask you to protect Kyoko" - Cloud said while looking at the blue-haired girl.
"You don't even have to ask, it's obvious that I will defend my sister" - said Kyōka with a huge toothy smile.
Kyoko for her part, felt a bit bad because she was being treated like dead weight despite her drastic increase in power.
"Relax, it's not that we consider you weak, it's just that the enemy is strong" - Kyōka replied upon seeing her traveling companion's expression - "It's just a precaution."
"Ok" - muttered Kyoko as she nodded weakly.
Cloud watched this with a small smile before using all his senses to the fullest, only to frown when he noticed how no matter how hard he tried to find the one responsible, nothing worked, which was strange.

"I can't get any closer, because if I did, I'd be entering their detection range" - Shaiapouf muttered as he frowned after wiping the sweat that was running down his forehead.
He had taken a step and the first thing he felt, was the enormous feeling of a slow and painful death at the hands of the blond beast.
"I have to think hard about my next moves if I want this plan to work" - Shaiapouf muttered as he looked carefully into the distance - "Let's see, of the three of us, the red-haired woman, is the weakest, possibly the perfect prey for this operation, the problem is the blue-haired woman, she is a danger, that's what my instincts say."
Shaiapouf was being careful during this operation because his life was at stake, and there was no going back after making so many mistakes, not to mention that it wasn't as if he could blame his king for trying to kill him, not when he was aware of everything he had done.
He slowly backed up a few feet to make sure he didn't get into the blond's detection range by simple carelessness, only to carefully fly to a nearby branch to get a better look at his prey.

Shaiapouf slowly walked to behind a tree, only for after a few seconds, countless smaller sized clones to appear one after another.
Without thinking twice, he ordered them to follow the simple plan of distracting the blond while he, in his bee-sized form, approached the two women.
The clones quickly flew off in different directions as they waited for him to give the signal.
"I only hope this is necessary" - Shaiapouf said after looking in the direction of the distant campfire - "[Beelzebub] consumes a large part of my cells, and if these are severely damaged, it would be impossible for me to absorb them again, causing enormous damage to my body."
Shaiapouf quickly shook his head because this was an all or nothing gamble, if he achieved his object, then all would be well, but if he failed, then his life would be over, and if not at the hands of Cloud, it would be at the hands of his furious king.
"Okay, let's get this started" - Shaiapouf said as he instructed the first group to approach carefully, after all, he wanted to make them believe to that group, that he was among the clones.

Dinner proceeded normally, or at least until Cloud sensed a large group of entities approaching his location.
"Heads up, our little unwanted guest didn't hold out any longer" - Cloud said seriously.
"I just hope this will be a fun fight" - said Kyōka grinned wildly.
"Remember that you have to protect Kyoko" - said Cloud while giving her a blank look.
"I know, don't repeat it" - Kyōka snorted as he watched a group of strange creatures with human shape and butterfly wings, fly in his direction - "Is that it?"
"Yes, it's possibly one of the [Royal Guards]" - Cloud replied with hostility as his eyes changed shape.
Shaiapouf stopped dead in his tracks as he shivered at the growing hostility radiating from Cloud's body, only to take a breath and continue with the plan.
It mattered nothing now that he had initiated.
Shaiapouf slowly hid as best he could as he watched the blond's shadow, devouring a huge amount of his clones.
He let out a small scream as he felt much of his body begin to ache after feeling him lose connection with his cells, but at least the plan was proving a success because Cloud was slowly walking away.
"Good, now I just have to get rid of that woman" - Shaiapouf said as he looked at the blue-haired woman, then completely focused on Kyoko - "And I think I know how to do it".
Shaiapouf quickly made a group of his clones fly against Kyōka, only to see how she eliminated them very easily, although this wasn't annoying for him because this only made her cells fly back to him, making this an endless cycle.
"Okay, just a little more" - Shaiapouf muttered as he squinted his eyes, only to watch as the woman moved further and further away from her target - "Just a little more."
Kyōka continued attacking everything in sight, not noticing how a small humanoid figure was cautiously approaching Kyoko.
Kyoko quickly stood on guard as she started shooting at the mini clones.
Shaiapouf grinned madly as he began to use his moth scales to control his victim's movements.
Kyoko began to feel everything around her, start to become a blur as she lost control of her thoughts.
"Kyu!" - Mimi exclaimed as she tried to get her teacher to react, only to see that her teacher had a confused look on her face.
Sora also tried to help, but nothing they did seemed to turn out well.
Shaiapouf smiled when he saw that he already had control of his victim, so he made him walk slowly out of the place.
"Kyu!" - Sora let out a high-pitched shriek, a sound that alerted not only Kyōka, but also Cloud who was in the distance.
"Shit!" - Shaiapouf exclaimed as he absorbed all the nearby cells and slightly regained his size, only to grab the Kyoko by the shoulders and fly as fast as possible.
"Don't even think about it!" - Kyōka roared as she extended her hands and launched a powerful Ki attack.
Shaiapouf dodged the attack with difficulty as he watched in terror as Cloud ran full speed at him.
The blonde beast was furious, he couldn't believe that this bastard had managed to capture Kyoko while he was fighting.
"Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!" - Shaiapouf thought as he felt the pressure increase considerably - "I have to fly faster, but I can't absorb the cells from this distance!"
Shaiapouf gritted his teeth as he looked around in search of some way he could escape, until he spotted a cave.
Without a second thought, he created two more clones, similar in size to his own, and made one take Kyoko's form as he and the original flew into the cave, hoping that their pursuers would not detect them.
Shaiapouf was breathing as slowly as possible to try to calm down, but it was difficult when he could feel Cloud's presence getting closer and closer, only to let out a sigh of relief when he felt his presence run after his clones.
"That was close" - Shaiapouf muttered as he felt a sharp pain run through his body as he felt his clone being devoured like the others - "Shit, he found them faster than I thought."
