  I didn't talk with Damon once on the ride back to Magnus' home. It was a hard stretch to call it my own. Staring off into the distance, I compared the trip to how it had been when I'd slipped into that trunk in the first place.

  Why had I been so excited and happy? Sure, I'd been bullied back home, but what I'd endured paled to this. I would gladly take any of those pranks again, no matter how humiliating or dangerous.

  I'd nearly died. If Shepard had not caught me, I would have just shattered into pieces when I hit the ground. And now I had to figure out a way to get myself together and convince my mother that I'd made the right decision and that I was happy.
