Chapter Fourteen- Kaleb

Kaleb watched the demon dematerialize as the Cauldron's power teleported him out of the room. He knew, then, that he would have to either follow the demon or destroy the Cauldron. He Stepped out from under his protective shield and began to pray in the spirit, drawing power from the Ancient One, replenishing his thirsty reservoir of power. Bright blue light gathered in his hands, enveloping his chest as his voice grew louder; inundated in holy fire, the thick iron cauldron began to melt and pool on the sandy floor, vaporizing the murky liquid as it dematerialized into nothingness.

"Stop!" Elijah yelled. He closed the swirling vortex behind him, "We need all three Cauldrons if we are going to destroy this evil and use the scroll, they are all connected."

Kaleb released his destructive hold and calmed the storm of energy that flowed out of him. Thick puddles or orange magma pooled around the base, leaving little left of the massive vessel to hold the murky liquid of the portal, "Elijah, what do you mean they are connected?" Kaleb had too many questions and no answers," why are you here? It's too dangerous here, the temple has been overrun with demons and cultists." his breathing heavy and his words slow, the surge of power wore on his human body.

Elijah slowly walked over to where Kaleb stood, panting, and said, "I came to tell you that John is in Harvest Hills, he has the dagger and scroll." Elijah rested a hand on his shoulder," Your sister, Olivianna, is no longer with us, she needs to be reborn."

"What happened to Livianna?" concern flashed within his eyes.

"She didn't meditate and pray, making her extremely weak. The sun, the demons, and the shield that was around John drained all of her manna. John told me about the demons in this place."

"She knew better, what was she thinking?" Kaleb said, slowly regaining his strength.

"Livianna believes in John, so she gave him her all." the old man said with a worried look, "now we will have to wait for her to come back to us."

"We could always go to her!" Kaleb said with an inquisitive smile," I haven't been back there in a long time, and I could use some newer weapons."

"There, has a name, Kaleb." Elijah said as he grabbed the melted iron and began to reshape it in his hands, repairing the cauldron's walls," Why haven't you been back to see Titus?"

Kaleb blankly stared off into the distance," I had no need for weapons until as of late, my energy was all the protection I needed."

Elijah whispered into the cauldron's walls, heating the metal until it glowed brightly, mending the cracks. He began to pray, and a small cloud formed over the cauldron's mouth and began to storm, pouring drops of water into the swirling murky liquid.," Are you ready, Kaleb?"

"Ready for what?"

"Heaven, my boy. We are going to get you some weapons." he raised his hands and mumbled loud words, creating a portal within the storm cloud," we are going to ride the lightning!"

Kaleb watched as Elijah grabbed a bolt of energy and vanished as thunder pounded the area. He reached out, touching the lightning and was instantly transported into a garden where Elijah waited.
