Feng Li approached his brother and sat beside him, saying,
"Feng Ming, both your mate and his dead body are missing."
Feng Li stared into his brother's teary eyes.
Feng Ming froze when he heard the news, his head lowered and his vision became blurry with tears. His breath halted as he whispered in disbelief. He wished that Hei Lang had escaped and survived, so he had clung to that tiny ray of hope. However, he couldn't understand the situation at all because his dead body was missing and he couldn't even retrieve his body, which had suffered and been pierced full of holes. The image of Hei Lang lying in a pool of blood flashed through his mind, so he asked his brother for the fourth and final time to make sure of the fact that his mate was gone.
"Brother, can it be true? Hei Lang's corpse has gone missing. I don't think he has any enemies. What can explain this? Was my husband abducted? He had died to protect me. Why?"
He tried hard not to burst into tears, and said in a trembling voice, "Won't I have peace even at death? Where has Hei Lang's body gone to?"
His head felt dizzy and his limbs began trembling, but Feng Li hugged him close and his eyes darkened in hate. Every world after he transfers to a person's body, he will acquire that person's memories and emotions. Because of this, he was becoming prone to being soft-hearted to his family members and friends. He hoped Hei Lang had lived. If someone dared to kill his brother's love, he'd have to die.
Feng Li sighed in distress, "Rest and take care of yourself. I'll talk to the healers and send a search group for him. Rest for now. After you recover, I'll introduce you to Yu Xin. We've already married, so hurry and meet him. We've been expecting you to visit."
Feng Ming still had the same weak look on his face.
"Come on now. Why don't you talk to him first? Your mood might be lifted and your energy will return once you see him."
"Brother, please show him to me. If he is indeed your love, then my wishes were granted.", said Feng Ming.
"Rest first. I'll let him know your health is in poor condition and tell him what has happened. Go and sleep for a while and rest for now."
Feng Ming felt calm once again and nodded, and the healer took him to his room. He had a very solemn face and showed no signs of happiness or satisfaction.
Once his brother had slept, Feng Li decided to go. He quickly met with the other beasts. He let Hua, one of the guards, contact the healers, who came immediately.

"Brat, don't try to run somewhere far. Always stay by my side.", the old man stated firmly.
The little boy replied childishly, "I know, Master."
The two were traveling together, walking towards their destination, which was not far, so the child wasn't scared to be with his master. The old man saw the child skipping along happily, he wanted to hug him and kiss him.
The little child was jumping in excitement while going. "Master, who was following Feng Li, the host?"
"Is that the main person?"
"How did I never find him?", the child sulked. He always felt bored doing the same things over and over again. If he weren't looking, there was trouble.
Master rubbed the child's head.
The child heard the movement and turned his head. The child stuck his little tongue out.
After walking in the forest for a while, there were no movements nearby.
"There was a certain entity who followed him."
"Do you think he can come here, Master?"
"No. He won't come."
"He shouldn't.", answered the Master, while the child looked dejected.
"This place is our domain."
"Therefore, we have no fear. We are strong."
"Stop the sad expression."
The child had a big smile and started running.
"You're still very young, so don't be rash."
The child heard that but didn't show it on his face.
It took several hours before they reached their destination. A simple cave, which looked ordinary.
The child was excited as it wasn't his first time in this secret place.
He couldn't wait to go in, but the child patiently stood. He didn't want to disappoint his master.
The old man followed from behind. The child waited for his master. After a few moments, the old man allowed the child to enter first, and after several minutes, he followed into the dark cave.
After waiting for a few minutes, they walked in for a while, and then a huge array appeared.
The Master didn't let the little child touch it.
"Activate."
The old man chanted a few words and the array came to life. It glowed a crimson color and revealed an image of an upside-down triangular mirror, suspended above, seemingly reflecting the surroundings.
The child opened his eyes wide, awed by the intricate details and beautiful glow. It was the first time he saw something like this.
The little child leaned forward and exclaimed with interest, "Master, what is that?"
"Child, this is a portal, where you'll see a secret."
"A portal?", the child asked, tilting his head.
"Yes, let's go in."
The child obediently followed. They arrived at a vast area with nothing but two glass coffins, the only ones in the grand space.
It was too shiny and nothing else was in the room.
"My disciple and his spouse are here."
Master looked at the coffins, his eyes sober.
"Master, they look similar to my host."
The little child didn't know his master's past.
Master nodded, smiling wryly.
"My disciple was practicing cultivation in the ruthless path. He was supposed to be practicing that way all the way, but his future had something different."
The child was confused as he listened. He wanted to understand his master but it was all too deep.
"Until now, I don't regret teaching him all kinds of cultivation methods."
"He died to save his spouse but sadly...forget it. But if he had succeeded in cultivating this technique, then his martial arts cultivation would have been broken through the ranks."
"I see. Then he was a great person, right?", the child asked curiously, while his eyes stuck on the faces of both the people in the coffin.
"He sure was.", answered the old man.
"Master, although we came here many times, I never thought there was a portal and your disciple here."
The old man looked serious and explained to him.
"After he died, I sealed the array and stored his body. Do not speak about this."
The child didn't speak and agreed to his master.
"Why did you bring me here, Master?", the child asked, curious about the sudden visit.
"Right now, Feng Li is facing danger. And it is just beginning.", said Master as he looked into the coffin.
"Child, do you know who is following him? And why he is following him?", questioned the old man.
The child shook his head in response.
"When you obsess over something too much, you forget that obsession is a drug. It destroys your conscience and only exists for your addiction."
"We cannot worry about whether we did the right thing or the wrong thing. Just as the sky is not always clear and is always filled with unpredictable changes, there is no right choice."
"Let's forget about that person, if your host can't take even handle him, then he is not worthy of...?", The old man stopped his words.
"I just wanted to bring you here to show my disciple."
The child saw the expression of his master and thought that his master's thoughts might not be very good.
He didn't mind, he wanted to forget him too.
"You were a fool."
Master could only laugh at that sentence, but he didn't deny nor agree.
"Let's leave."
"Yes."
The two left, and the enormous red crystal array lit up and swallowed them.
