"Two versus one. Show me what you guys got.." Yuri twirled around a brown staff between her fingers. Arthur had gulped with a sweat while Orion was stretching. All 3 of them had been in a jungle. The time of day was right when the sun would set.
"Arthur,...don't be so nervous. She won't really hurt you.." Orion came up next to him, placing his on hand upon Arthur's shoulder. "H-Huh?! I'm not nervous! Just uh...just thinking that's all..." Orion sighed while shaking his head.
Orion then held both sides of Arthur's face, stretching his skin out and making his squeal from pain. "I-It hurts...stawpuhh.." This familiar technique helped Arthur focus more on the pain than the battle ahead of him.
It was what Orion sometimes did to stop holding back from hitting Yuri. 'I used to be against hitting Yuri, specifically girls, but nah, not any more. Each time I had that sort of mentality, she'd hit me harder and harder until one day, I hit her back and it felt...great!'
He coughed, putting his own thoughts aside and saying, "Arthur, you're obviously scared. I'll have your back the whole fight, so you don't need to worry. You trust me enough to have your back, right..?" Orion slowly managed to calm himself down after hearing that.
"O-Of course! I trust you very, very much! Its just that...I don't know if I'll be able to do anything against her..." Orion looked at Yuri who had been grinning this whole time. Whenever she saw weakness, she knew she could easily exploit it.
"Listen, Arthur. Be a little more confident in your ability. You're very strong, okay? You just don't even know.." He tapped Arthur's face, bring his hands back down.
"I know,..I...know. I've been told, I've trained,..but I still feel like me and you are so far away from each other. Until I know that I can fight along side you, I'd probably never have confidence.."
The reasoning may be selfish, weird even, but he did have a point. Orion was a prodigy, the perfect human even without powers. This was the type of person Arthur hung out with and looked up to. Until he reached such a state where he knew he'd be as strong as Orion, he'll always feel powerless.
"Oh, Arthur. You really are..a big dummy.." He placed his hand on Arthur's head. "You'd never be as strong as me. In that sense though, I guess your smart to know that. You see, I was gifted with a power that'll never make me lose. You and me both were. Its just that I act overconfident which boosts my ego and confidence.
Why don't you try it? Try acting like the top dog for once. Like the world is beneath you. Like you're a God per say..." Yuri told them to hurry and wrap up their conversation which snapped Arthur out of a daze. 'Is that...how he thinks? Jeez..'
"You're strong, Arthur. I don't know what more to tell you. I guess...its up to you to realize that.." Orion put his fist out and Arthur slowly did the same. They fist bumped, Orion showing him a light smile.
'He really believes in me so much.. Why...can't I? Someone as strong as him had just told me that we should never be able to lose. I...have to believe that...'
Arthur wiped the nervousness of his face, making Yuri frown and stare daggers at Orion. 'Smh...he always ruins my fun... I'll teach him a lesson...' Using her quirk which was shown by her eyes changing blue, she saw into Orion's future.
She could only see into one persons future at a time and could only do it again after that time is up. 'Wha..?' What she saw was that Orion...did nothing. 'While he sits back, the kid..' She saw Arthur running towards her.
On the right side of his body, ice was being made as well as his left with fire being made. 'He so..full of courage! Orion and his damn God complex... He's spread it onto Arthur..' She tsked, swirling her staff around, then pointing it at Arthur.
Arthur was slightly crouching, touching and freezing the ground with his right hand. 'My control over this power is still at an novice level..' As he ran, he threw his hand up off of the ground, sending out a wave of ice spikes towards Yuri.
'But I'll use what Orion taught me. I was surprised to learn he could quite literally mimic my powers..' Seeing the fast pasted ice come at her didn't frighten her in the least. 'Did Orion teach him this old school trick? He should know that it won't work..'
Using the staff, she had planted it in the ground. It had then glowed a dark brown color, releasing a wall of earth in front of her, stopping the ice and causing it to slightly spread out over it. 'Thanks Orion for creating this weapon for me. It's really useful..'
Seeing this, Orion had wondered what he'd do next. 'One thing I learned from having a quick sparring match with him is that he's more battle smarts than me.
I blame it on those damn games he plays... Nah, I'm joking about that last part, but he is actually very smart when it comes to planning things.
He had even caught me off guard by throwing dirt towards my eyes..' Arthur had then used his left and sent a ball of fire towards the ice. 'Oh, he's doing that, huh? I see..'
Yuri knew what he was doing but before she could fully jump away, the fire collided with the ice on the earth wall, causing it to blow up into dirt and smoke.
'Creating a smokescreen of sorts. What will Yuri do now..?' Yuri was caught up in the explosion, a piece of debris hitting her and wounding her on her ankle. 'I..didn't see this coming..? Too many factors in play for a single outcome..'
As she was about to land, an ice pillar had emerged from the ground, hitting her on her stomach, coughing up blood and sending her high up into he sky. 'Sorry, Orion. I didn't mean to hurt her..' He ran at the ice pillar which had continued going up.
Jumping at an angle had causing him to land perfectly on the face of the rectangular pillar. He started running up it with his momentum, dragging his right hand on the pillar. Yuri, who now was going past the clouds, had managed to stand, whipping blood off the corner of her mouth.
'While Orion is so straightforward, this kid isn't. Ah, it's been so long since I fought someone like this..' She grinned while looking down and seeing Arthur running up towards her. 'I-I think you're doing good, Arthur!
Orion was right! I told myself that I'll be able to easily defeat someone as strong as her and look... I'm on my way to do it. Wait, don't get overconfident..!'
Some of the ice on the pillar began peeling off, forming daggers Those daggers were sent towards Yuri from all angles. 'Oh, how I love a challenge! Orion always held back because of our relationship, but now...now someone's actually trying to defeat me..'
Since she had dropped her staff, she had to rely on her hands. She would dodge some, slice some in half, kick them till they shattered into pieces and so on, all while not breaking a single sweat.
It was then when Arthur reached the ledge where she was standing and ran up into the sky as the pillar suddenly stopped. 'I guess it was going a little to fast for him..' Arthur turned around mid air, only to put his hands out at her.
Fire and Ice had became one which had then turned to invisible air. He sent such an invisible air at Yuri. 'Steam, eh? That'll leave more than a scratch on me, you little...' She backed up and dropped down, only to hang onto the edge of the ice tower.
'My quirk-!'
The steam had hit the top of the tower, melting the ice in an instant and blowing her off. 'Shi-' Orion sat up as he saw her slowly begin to free fall towards earth. 'You..too..?'
He looked at Arthur who seemed to now be unconscious do to his air being shortened by being so close to the edge of the atmosphere.
'And it was just getting good too...' Putting his hands out in different directions, heads of dragons came out then their bodies. They were both black and would lag into the air, getting closer and closer to Yuri and Arthur.
The dragons had then saved them by swallowing them whole. 'Yuri was having fun, I noticed. Even though she could always beat me, I never fully went out against her.
Wouldn't be fair for her or anyone. She knew this and her fighting spirit had diminished. Man, if only her and Arthur spared more before.
It's nice seeing her have so much fun..' The dragons landed under Orion, followed by him jumping out of the tree. The dragons disappeared into smoke as two bodies laid on the gound.
"Yuri. Arthur. Hey, are you guys alright..?" He tapped both of their faces while kneeling down between them.
Yuri had awoken slowly as she heard Orion's voice. 'Young...Master..?' Her body then curled followed by an ouch. Looking at her fingers, you could see that they were blood red. The steam had burned them and even some of skin off.
"Lemme get that for you.." Orion held her hands and had healed them back to normal. "T-Thanks, young master..." He sighed then touched on Arthur's forehead. 'He'll live as well. Just needs some air in those lungs.."
Some time had soon passed. Orion was carrying Arthur on his back as they made their way back to his villa. 'Yuri's vision of the future stopped a little before he spew that steam out at her. She didn't know that something like this would happen...'
He looked over his shoulder and at Arthur. 'Props to you tho. You exceeded both of our expectations. I...didn't know you leaned how to combine elements like that. Must have been practicing on your own time, huh?'
Orion was really proud of him. He managed to overcome some self obstacles and even landing a hit on Yuri. It sort of made him jealous.
"Hey, Yuri. Let the kid sleep on your lap for his victory. Pretty fair deal, right?" She nodded and like that, the night passed.
Arthur got his rest on Yuri's lap, Orion trained, and Ari watched him trained, motivating him as well. Everyone was happy which had brought about a warm atmosphere.

(An: I haven't wrote a good fight scene in a long time. The last time was in an entirely different novel. Some may know the novel as OP skill system in MHA.
But yeah, thanks for all of your support.)
