"Bro. Canes is not better than Chick-Fil-. You' been acting crazy ever since you been gettin play."
"Accept it, Orion. It's miles better than...than any fast food place out there. You know this. Why you actin' so different.."
"Dude. Carried by the what?"
"Huh?"
"Carried. By. The. What?"
"The....sauce(?), where are you going with this?" He said, partially shrugging and confused.
"Exactly. You wouldn't have said that if it wasn't true.."
Arthur stared at him like he was an idiot, then looked away entirely. "You guys argue about the simplest things..." Miya said, taking a sip of tea.
Her and 'the gang', meaning, Orion, Arthur, Miya, Jin, Rin, and Larius, were sitting down at the table they were sitting at on the first day of school.
Since they were divided up into different classes, they could only meet like this at lunch. "Orion starts it." Arthur said while crossing his arms. "Nah, not always tho. Like that time where you randomly said that your hair color is better. Like bro, black is fire.."
"Well, golden is perfect for us white boys."
"Yeah, okay." Arthur smirked like he won this conversation, but Orion will come back. Just not now as he wanted to ask something to all of them. "Hey, uh, did your teachers mention anything about a battle trial or something?"
Jin was the first to answer, placing his phone down and sighing. "Yeah, something about combing with your class and having some sort of battle amongst each other. They didn't go too much into detail about the matter however.."
Larius spoke almost immediately after Jin, causing a scene by smacking his hand on the table. "It's honestly not fair! Like come on, you people are in S class! With overpowered quirks and superior training to us, its bassically a show to embarrass us!"
"True..." Orion faintly laughed as well as Rin. "We'd surely embarrass all of you, but I think you're mistaking what we're probably gonna do. We'll probably be put on our own teams, so it'll be like multiple people just agaisnt one of us. You get what I'm saying?"
"Ye-Yeah... You and that confidence man. It's unmatched..." Larius said with a sweat. "It's annoying. We get it, you're stronger than us. You don't really have to rub it in." Miya seemed resentful about what Orion said and so seemingly seemed pissed.
"You're right, I don't. But, I will. Until you can shut me up, I naturally have a right to be arrogant and brag about it." Orion said with a shrugg as he began getting up.
Rin followed behind by doing the same. "Well, it's time for us to go. Something about designing our hero costumes is what we were told. See ya!"
They began walking away leaving the rest with speechless expressions. "Hero...costumes?! They're already making their hero costumes?! That's..." Larius screamed out then sighed. He then got up and walked off with his hands in his pockets.
"Aren't they supposed to be doing that like halfway through the year? It's only week three and they're designing their costumes already? That's weird, isn't it?" Jin commented as he started eating his lunch once again.
"They're in S class remember. They get all sorts of privallges." Miya said while looking towards Arthur. He was emitting an icy aura while digging his fingers into the table. 'I have to get into that class...'
The gap between them were getting bigger and bigger by the day. 'I can't ask him to wait up on me anymore. I'll have to work harder in order to stand by him..'
The table became cold, causing Jin to retract his forearms off of it. "Hey, guys..." Arthur finally said after some time. "We all want to be on Orion's level of power, right? With that in mind, I think I have an idea for a club.." Jin and Miya both looked at each, then back at him.
Whatever he was hinting at seemed devious and underhanded, but wouldn't stop them from saying, ""We're listening.."" And with that, Arthur told them of a club idea. Wether this would get approved as a club or not was up to fate to decided however.
....
The 5 S class students stood in front of a door inside of the school. "So this is where we'll make our hero costumes? Expected more to be honest.." They all looked at Percy, then back at the door. "B-But it's just a door. What uh...what more do you expect from it?"
Percy shrugged at Orion's comment, then told him to just open up the door. He did and they all walked in one by one. When they all arrived in the average sized classroom riddled with tables instead of desk, color was what first caught their attention however.
The room walls were painted to have almost every color known to person it seems. The ceilings, walls and even the floors, they'd all have color in them. "Hello. You must be S class. Your teacher has already informed me of your visit." A student slightly taller than them towered over them.
She had short brown hair and brown eyes hidden behind thick framed brown glasses. Her figure was skinny, but she did have a bit of muscle on her. That was something almost every student in the upper grades had apparently.
"My name is, Ashley. I'm the head designer for the student body. I'm basically the person you come to if you want create and or make changes to your hero outfit.." She then guided them over to a table in the middle of the room. The said room was voided of people which made them question if she was the only member of this 'club'.
"Please, take one of these papers, and write down everything involving your hero costume. And I mean everything. Thickness, type of material, light weight or heavy, absolutley everything.." She handed them a white piece of paper with a pencil and told them they could use the other side of the table to write on.
They did and pulled up some chairs to be more comfortable. "So uh, Ashley, what's your quirk exactly? I mean, whatever it is allows you to work alone, so it must be very flexible, right?" Orion sparked up a conversation for everyone since it seemed they couldn't do it for themself.
"Well,.." She contemplated whether to tell him or not, but then remembered. She's heard about this student before. How he broke records, how he was accepted into some program that would travel and fight across the world, how he might even be working under the number one hero.
With all that knowledge, she thought she'd might get more out of him the more they spoke. "The basics of it allows me to bring forth whatever others draw on my specially designed paper. So if you were to draw a shoe on that paper, I can bring it into existence as an authentic shoe."
There had been many advantages to this, but there were even more disadvantages to it. The students were quick to understand this, and so they didn't react like she thought they would.
"Well, you quirk is really suited to your profession, so that's something, I guess. A shame you quite literally have to rely on others for it to work tho.."
Orion said while covering his design. He didn't want others to see it, especially Rin as he wanted to impress her. "Yes, that may be true, but I don't mind. My dream is to become a world famous fashion designer, and so my quirk really helps with that. Others may think my quirk has a terrible downside, but I truly don't mind it. It fits in with my profession to hear others ideas and create them so that's why."
She really could make a lot of fantasies become true with that type of quirk. Atleast fantasies such as cosplay or something. Even then,..."I understand. You just wanna put smiles on people faces is all. Nothin' wrong with that.."
Ashley faintly smiled from his words, the students soon finishing their designs and giving it to her. She would then put the papers on a conveyer belt. It was located near the bottom left corner of the room, so when you'd walk into the room, all you'd have to do is look left and see it.
The conveyer belt would go up to the top left corner of the room then turn towards the right, and then would angle up into the air. At the end of the belt had been a metallic box with one of its faces off. The conveyer would continue into this box and disappeared into blackness.
Underneath the box had been gouged opened and beneath it, was a basket that stored clothes. 'I guess all the magic happens in that box. I wonder how her quirk connects with that..'
The papers treaded along the belt and soon reached the box. The colors around the room flashed for a second before clothes fell out the box and into the basket.
"Please, go ahead and take a look, try things on, do whatever you need. If you have a request to get something changed, just ask, okay?" They nodded towards her then went over to the white basket. Looking inside, they all saw their hero outfits.
The colors, the uniqueness, the outfit that others will look and and say, 'That's so and so, isn't it?' Pulling out their outfits one by one, they all held them up in the air to examine their features, giddy smiles on all their faces like the little kids they were. As they had described on the paper, it came out in the exact form they had drew out.
"Hey, Orion. Show us yours.." Percy said while looking towards him. The rest did as well and saw him digging aggressively into the basket. 'Turned out way better than I expected. The quality is very well done too...' He pulled the suit out of the basket and showed them it.
"My hero costume. Whaddya think? Cool, right?" They stared at his hero costume, hundreds of thoughts flowing into each and every single one of their heads. 'Dark, yet bright colors?' One thought. 'The suit is like a armor. Looks menacing..' Another 'complained'. 'A mask too? You'd think he wouldn't wear one..'
And then finally, 'I wonder if we could do 'that' in his armor..'
"Well, don't all speak at once...jeez.." He laid the suit down on a table and undid his scarf. They were still silent, now having their thoughts switch to the red scarf. Though it looked of normal size around his neck, rolling it out and one could see that it was very, very long.
Like bed sheets type long.
"A...cape? Are you going for a cape?" Percy asked aloud. Capes were cool and all, but were kinda old school. "Yep! All the greatest heroes in history had them, so I'll of course have one myself. My suit will look complete with it attached as well.."
He pulled a near by sewing machine closer and began sewing the scarf onto the back of the suit. In the end, he was right. The suit alone looked cool and all, but with the red cape, it looked completed. "I think yours is the best out of all of ours, Orion.."
Rin complimented while folding her suit up. Orion simply smiled at her, going to compliment her back, but was rudely interrupted by Percy. "Like hell it is! Mine is obviously the best!" From the author here, Percy looked like the dude with 3 wives from demon slayer.
His costume matched that as well.
"But if we can agree on something.." Everyone, even Ashley, looked at Iker and his hero costume. "Iker..has the worst design..." His costume looked like something See-More from teen titans go would wear. "Aw, don't say that about his costume.."
But we can clearly see you holding your laugh in Ashley, so don't lie and say it's great. "If he likes it, he likes it. It's not the costume that makes a hero, but the person who wears it, right?" Her wise words could be agreed on, making Iker blush, but of course Orion had to say,..
"Yeah, but the suit definitely plays a part. If he showed up to my crime scene, I'd think he was another villain or something. A hero costume is supposed to make others feel warm and protected. Not creeped out and endangered.."
Iker faked smiled like someone who just keeps talking on end and your on your last, 'Damn, that's crazy..' Ashley shook her head, then said, "Well, I think it's cute. Iker, is it? Don't let him bully you so much. Speak up for yourself every once and a while.."
"It's fine, it's fine.. I'm used to it by now. Can't you see that's he obviously jealous tho? I mean, mine obviously looks better.."
"Yeah, okay buddy. I'm so totally jealous, like O.M.G. I even wish I could be you. With...average looks, and average intellect and...no bitches. I wish to be just like you when I grow up."
"What does me and having zero females have to do with this? Is that all you think about?"
"You're a 14 year old boy and you don't? Hell, I'm only going this far to impress Rin over there." He pointed at Rin who somehow had a popcorn bucket in her hands and was sharing it with Percy and Accel.
"All this for a girl, huh? The worst kind of people.." He face palmed with a sigh. "I know right? Like people who switch personalities like that to impress someone else are just terrible bro.." They both looked out into no where then back at each other.
"Hey, bro. I didn't mean what I said. Your costume looks sick and honestly, creative. That eye orb prolly enhances your quirk, right?" Orion forced their hands to lock as he also pushed them closer together. Whispering in his ear, he said,
"And bro, I think Ashely might like you. Even if she doesn't and was just being nice, go get that. Your handsome, y'know? You could pull anyone at this school if you know, I obviously wasn't here.." Iker listened to everything he said, not knowing whether or not to take this weirdo seriously.
'He's honestly so weird and unpredictable... I thought I got used to by now, but nah, I guess not. Even after giving me crap, he tried to cheer me up by putting me on. Honestly, he'd make for an alright friend if you can take his jokes on a daily basis.'
Weird, yeah, but fun to hang around,...meh. Tolerable atleast. Undoing their hold, they backed out the dap up, causing Ashely to faintly smile. "I'll assume you two made up? Well, that's nice. Friends shouldn't fight, right?"
Orion stared into Iker's eyes and he did the same. 'Friends, huh..?' They both thought with their face softening. 'I guess that doesn't sound too bad..' From their on, the bad blood between them would dry out, sprouting a flower of friendship.
Kinda cringe, Author.
....
(An: Ion care what anyone says. My hero costume for Orion is a Work Of Art. Imma create an auxiliary chapter to show what their costumes look like so look forward to that.
Also, rereading this made me realize how much I incorporated some of my own personality into Orion. Well, not all of it, so don't think I'm cringe in real life, but the things that he say are prolly things I'll either think of and or laugh at in real life.
Sigh, imma forever be alone.😓)
