Chapter 16

Many Blessed One gather in front of the D-rank tower in Jakarta. The reason? The Indonesia Hunting Guild decided to post a conquering quest. The D-rank tower had already reached its limit, and if the Blessed One did not clear the tower, a massive Infernal Beast outbreak would happen.

Because of this, many people decide to gather here and quickly get into the boss room on the upper floor. However, this will not be easy. There are many people who want to take the reward for themselves and are willing to kill each other for it.

The rule in the tower is different from the one outside. While there are no written rules, there are unwritten rules. The first rule: Only the strong can survive. The second rule: Everything that happens in the tower stays in the tower. The last rule: First come, first serve.

The outside will ignore any murder in the tower. Even when there is a witness, the witness cannot do anything about it as the government will put that murder as an accident instead of murder.

This is the reason why the first rule is very important. As long as you are strong enough, you will survive anything thrown at you. As for the last rules, it was the rule regarding any treasure chest, mini-boss, and a boss stage. The first one will be the one that gets the item. However, that rule can be twisted as there is no rule saying that other people cannot take it from your corpse.

"Boy, look at all those people."

Laudia says while looking at the people on the twenty-fifth floor of the tower. This tower only has thirty floors, and the boss on the thirtieth floor is a Goblin King. A green humanoid creature with a height of five meters and a body filled with muscle.

Goblin King is not very strong, but it is compensated for by the number of Goblins it can summon. It can summon up a goblin from fifty to seven hundred of them, depending on the power of the boss. Not only that, but it can also empower its minions to make them on par with the Kobolds.

"Should we get going? I have a feeling that the boss room is already flooded with people."

Laudia looks at Rachel and nods her head. "Yeah, I expect as much. That is why I brought a tent and sleeping bag. I have a feeling that we need it before the tower conquers."

The wild hunt party walks leisurely toward the thirtieth floor while killing some of the goblins when they decide to charge at them. The Goblin is not strong enough to be a threat to them.

Thirty minutes later, they arrive on the thirtieth floor, and they can see many people camping in front of the Boss Gate. Joshua looks at the boss gate and sees a blue panel showing there are still seven people inside the boss room.

"Hmmm, I wonder why they don't get inside the boss room?" Joshua says while tilting his head in confusion. "I know the unwritten rule, but there is no reason why they need to wait outside."

"Ah, it was because the tower will close the boss room after five seconds after a new person steps inside," Rachel explains to Joshua while putting down her bag. "Before that countdown is over, there can be as many people getting inside the boss room. This is the reason why many people decide to gather in front of the boss room before they get inside."

"Ah, I see. Anyway, should we make a tent here? This area is safe enough from the monster, right?"

Laudia nodded her head and also put her bag down.

"Yes. Mostly safe. Not many monsters are willing to approach the boss room, but sometimes there are exceptions. We cannot drop our guard in the tower."

"Roger"

After saying that, Joshua put down his bag and made his tent. After that, he decided to create a campfire. Sadly, because of his identity as a physical type Blessed One, he cannot use his newly learned spell unless he wants to gather unwanted attention.

While Joshua and his party are preparing their tent, Rio, who also takes the quest of conquering the tower, looks at Joshua with a frown on his face. Rio already knows the reason why Joshua and his party are here, but he is still afraid that he will be killed because of his little sister's stupidity.

A three B-rank Blessed One can wipe out fifteen D-rank Blessed One with ease. He did not want that fate to fall upon him and his party members. He already thinks of them as his friend and some of them as his brother in all but blood.

Rio walked toward Joshua with a sigh and ignored the confused look given to him by the rest of his party members.

When he arrived in front of Joshua, he gave him a bow. Joshua, who is busy building his tent, looks at Rio in confusion.

"I'm sorry!"

His confused expression grew even more. He looked at Rio for a few seconds before he suddenly remembered Rio's face.

"Ah, you are the man from three days ago."

"Yes. My name is Rio, and I want to apologize for what my sister did."

"Oh? Did she admit it?"

"No. She did not, but I know she is lying and has already punished her. She will never bother your sister again. I already sent her to our parents in Medan."

"That…"

Joshua rubs his neck when he hears that. He did not really want Kesha to be punished that harshly. He only wants Rio to tell his sister not to do it again and watch her from now on.

"That is rather harsh, but if you are okay with it, then sure. Anyway, I already forgive you. I'm a man who gives a second chance to people that deserve it. However, I will not give a third chance, remember that."

"Yes, I will. Thank you for forgiving me."

"Good."

Rio did not know it earlier, but a massive weight had been lifted from his shoulder.
