A Tyrant

King Adonis

"It was an unrealistic expectation that Anika and I could have ever worked out. Not with the way you and my father had gone about it."

"Well that was not what she imagined," he pouted, "From the first moment Anika saw you she swore you were the one."

I scoffed before I let out a chuckle, "Anika and I only first met when I was fourteen. You can't tell me she could be that obsessed with me from such an age."

"My daughter- well she is unique," he grinned, "She wanted to be what your mother was to your father."

"Well we all know that was a lie." Baba's relationship with Ma was just a fantasy he had given to her but had no intention of keeping. They were not the picture of true love conquers all but rather what learning to love each other meant.

"Yes, I guess we do but Anna was born to marry Gordon."

"No one is born to marry anyone," I hissed, "It was circumstantial."
