Can I get a glass too?

Eric was still surprised to see she was here at the party. Was she acting as another man's fake girlfriend? Of course not, she was wearing a chef uniform so she's the... Cook!

Wow, was she did one who cooked such delicious meal? When he couldn't sight her anymore, he followed the directions she went through to see her walking helpless and dragging her feet looking as if she was been shot by the stomach and running from the person who shot her.

He followed her silently that she couldn't sense he was behind her or maybe she did but didn't turn to check. He wanted to go to her but their goodbye wasn't so good and he didn't want to worsen her pain. Suddenly he stopped when he saw a motorcycle parked in front of her and soon she was on it and then it drove away.

Eric didn't think twice before running to get this car and trailed them.

"Please drive a little slow. It's cold" she sounded so helpless and dead when she pleaded with Edward who was worried and on a speed mode but after hearing her shaky voice, he slowed down listening to her cry. What's going on with her? Why is she crying and In pain? Is it her monthly period? He had questions but didn't ask.

He had dropped her at her house once or twice so he knew the direction to her house.

The ride was so long and when they got to her house, he brought her down but she couldn't stand straight, she felt standing straight might divide her belly into two from inside her. He tried to help by touching her belly and caressing it but it didn't help. Soon after someone stood right beside them. He looked so rich and had the same eyes as his but wasn't beard.

Eric followed the bike so fast and when it's slow down he wondered why and soon remember once when he helped her, she felt really cold. She hasn't treated herself... He was disheartened.

Slowly he stopped his car in a very untidy and small neighborhood. Is this where she lives? He wondered, watching from his car how the man brought her down and massaged her stomach but could see clearly it wasn't helping.

Lucy wasn't the type who shows her weakness so that man might be her boyfriend. She has a boyfriend? But still he went to know and see how she's doing. They weren't close but he cares for her.

He left his car and went forward to where the motorcycle was parked.

The man looked surprised and had the same eyes as he does but he wasn't here to know what he looks like. He was here to check on Lucy.

Lucy looked up to see Eric, she was surprised but didn't show on her face because it was grimaced due to the terrible pain she's feeling. Suddenly she screamed and gripped Edward shirt so tight that he could have a hint of how she felt. He stared at her, ignored the man standing and slowly helped her in but she still walks sluggishly.

Eric could see there wasn't going to be any progress in his goal to take her in. He broke the short distance between them. "She's in pain, I don't think she can walk" he uttered and then took her leg in his hands and her back in the other, carrying her. Lucy wanted to stop him but she didn't, she felt really comfortable in his hands and he has seen her this way once, he even knows why she's in that state and she couldn't even stop him with the no strength she had.

The door to her apartment was locked after getting there through the stairs, she dip her hand in her black trouser and brought out her phone, the key was tag with it. She handed one of them the key.

It was embarrassing having this two in her small apartment but now isn't the time to feel that way.

Eric found her room and lay her on the bed, Immediately she curled up and wrinkled her face, holding her stomach in deep pain. She doesn't know what created such miserable pain, only the cause she knew of.

She rolled over countless times as the two tried to comfort her but no success.

"I'm confused... Do you know who she is?" Edward asked the man standing next to him, who was kneeling next to her bed holding her hand. While he was bending caressing her head.

"I don't really know who she is but we know each other and you are?" Eric replied.

"I'm her friend" Edward replied squelching Eric's thought of him being her boyfriend, somehow he felt happy about it.

"We met once and when I saw her at the party, I was surprised to see her and when she looked not fine I followed her and seeing her get in your motorcycle I had to follow because I thought you aren't trustworthy" Eric explained.

Lucy was listening to the both of them enduring the pain as it comes and goes but when she heard he was about saying why she's in that condition, she grasped his clothes, he turned to her and she shook her head.

In favour of her request he lied.

"Lucy, are you okay?" Edward asked now kneeling and holding her hand.

"I'll be fine don't worry about me" she managed to say and forced a smile. Suddenly a sharp pain emerged from inside her stomach, she screamed but didn't make a single sound, her mouth was just wind opened as she held unto her stomach.

The men didn't know what to do, they stood on top of her thinking of what might relief her pain. Soon she curled up and growling.

"Lucy" they chorused but they didn't get a response.

"Should I take you to the hospital?" Eric asked.

"No" she replied, her voice so low that if the room wasn't so quiet they wouldn't hear her voice. "I'll be fine just leave me alone" she said.

"I can't leave you this way" Edward concluded.

"Please, I want to be alone" she pleaded and was able to speak 'cause the pain had reduced. There was silence after her pleas in her almost dark room. The light wasn't on and no one cared to switch it on.

Suddenly, they all heard the ringtone of someone's phone ringing. Edward slowly brought out his phone to see it was his father. Oh! He had to leave. He told Lucy he's sorry that he couldn't be with her but she didn't mind, he bids his goodbye before going out to pick the call

and when he was done, he drove off.

Eric found a chair and sat on it watching the crying Lucy. She turned to him. "Mister, you can leave too, I'll be fine" she said still curled up and this time hugging her legs against her upper body.

"Don't try pushing me away this time.... I told you to treat yourself then and you'd be..."

"Please Eric don't start"she cuts him off and then the pain returned, she extended her neck still holding her belly, rolled over and over in pain and in tears, she opened her mouth wide to scream but didn't.

Eric ran to her and placed his hand on her belly, she averted his hands but then he unbuttoned the lower buttons of the chef shirt and placed his hand on her bare skin. His touch was so warm and as he moved his hand circularly on her stomach, the pain didn't stop but his touch relieved her. She was getting used to his warm touch so she removed hand and lay on her side, back facing him and still curled up.

"Leave me alone please..." She pleaded but he reached out to touch her. She yelled, "Eric please!"

He went away from her and sat on the chair not leaving her. What if she falls unconscious again? So he's staying.

Lucy was still struggling with the pain not knowing Eric was still around and then fell asleep. Eric on the other hand didn't know when his eyelids became heavy and slept off.

Morning arrived, Lucy woke up turning around to see Eric sleeping and leaning on the chair. She thought he'd left, he's really good at meddling. She ran her hands through her hair when she sat up seeing her buttons loosened. She recalled last night when he caressed her stomach. She didn't know why she felt really calm by his touch. She had felt so many hands on her body but his touch was so overwhelming and different. She stared at him mysteriously.

When she thought she was never going to meet him and has forgotten she ever met him that's when he appeared from somewhere she never expected to meet him and here he was in her disgraceful small apartment. Look at how he sleeps so peacefully in someone else's house. Is it fun to him watching her in pain? Does he feel satisfy to see her weakness? She asked herself. Then something hit her mind when she looked at him closely. Why does she always assume negative things about him? Maybe he's actually a good person.

She covered her face with her hands as if frustrated, last night wasn't a good chapter at all. Then she raked her hands through her hair before crawling out of bed.

Feeling and sensing someone's movement, he gasped waking up from his slumber and looked around to see he was somewhere different. He recalled last night, Ohh it's Lucy's house... Where is she?

Lucy noticed he was awake but left her room anyways. Eric looked around and then his gaze landed on the room across her bedroom, it was the kitchen and she was in there and she was okay and fine. He went forward to her.

"Good morning" he greeted while she poured herself a glass of water.

"Morning.... I see you never left and spent the night in my house" she said and gulped down the whole glass of water.

"Can I get a glass too?" he asked, staring at the glass she used to drink water.
