Liya goes to Maya's room to meet her mother to find Carter there. Both of them seem to be in serious discussion about something. Liya clears her throat to establish her presence.


"Liya, dear! Come in," welcomes Maya into her room.

"About the engagement, am I right? What else would you talk about anyway?"


Carter ignores his daughter's comment. "You should start shopping for your attire. I expect Ashton to initiate the conversation about the ring to you, but as far as the dress is concerned, you should step up."

"Today. The day has just started and I'm sure you could free some time in your schedule for this. I've called up a very famous, first-class bridal place and booked an appointment for you. Emailed the details too. All you have to do is show up there."
