Blanc

The Blanc royal family, like a royal family should be, was very strong. Underneath them served 4 dukes at high level Lord ranks. The queen was low level King and the king was about mid level King. This was very high. Keep in mind that although the average cultivation is higher than the 1st Heaven, most were born here and did not come here with high cultivation. King level was incredibly high and just being low level Lord was enough to be a guard at the front gates. Naturally, though, the king had a lot of low level Lords at his command. An army in fact.

The Blanc and Kuro royal families were special. Both had something in their blood. The Kuro royal family had an innate ability that let them manipulate darkness, much like the maid, Shana, which they inherited from someone of a similar lineage to Shana marrying into their family long ago.

Though normally the children would not inherit the innate ability of whatever being the were having children with, occasionally they would and if it presented in the children between the human and whatever entity it was, that would mean that anyone in the lineage had a chance to inherit some sort of ability related to darkness or whatever the innate ability was.

The same goes for the Blanc family, though they had a continual relationship. The Kuro family had children with a shadow demon and the Blanc royal family had children with a yukionna. A yukionna was a snow woman. It was a rare race that had developed a hold in a part of the 2nd Heaven. As a part of an agreement made long ago, the heir of the Blanc family would marry a talented yukionna who would become queen. This was the difference between the two, as the shadow demons did not make this deal with the Kuro family, though it didn't really matter as the shadow innate ability still showed up in their bloodline.

As such, the Blanc and Kuro families gained power and established their kingdoms. They wiped out the competition and were considered powerhouses due to a slew of talented descendants that came generation after generation.

Alex, now uncuffed, was about to meet the royal family. His sword was still in custody, but he expected as much. It didn't matter. He was simply there to be acknowledged as an ascender and to show his respect. However, there was something that bothered him, something he planned on asking about. Tensions had seemed high, the guards more on edge than he would have expected.

Although this wasn't considered good news by most, Alex would welcome a war. He needed a place where he could grow stronger quickly. He also wasn't kind enough to care if a war happened, though he certainly wouldn't start one to get what he wanted.

"Mister Alex?"

Pearl's question startled him out of his thoughts. No use fretting. He would find out soon enough.

Alex took a deep breath. He wasn't in the 1st Heaven where he could beat anyone there one on one. This was a whole new world...

He was excited.
