Chapter 457: Struggling Without Being Beaten to Death

Noticing Emma Wood's distraction and anxiety, Martin Harriman brewed a cup of excellent Ceylon black tea and placed it in front of her.

He was wearing black glasses with undisguised concern in his gaze beneath the lenses, "You didn't sleep well last night, have some tea to perk you up."

"Um, okay."

Emma took the tea and sipped it, distant memories surfacing in her mind.

Her ex-husband's tea brewing skill wasn't as good in the past, but because she loved to drink tea so much, he specifically learned the craft.

The rich aroma of the tea spread throughout her mouth, making her comfortably take a couple more sips.

Everyone was chatting in the living room, the atmosphere was harmonious and peaceful, and the fierce undercurrents beneath this facade were invisible.

Miss Caroline Edwin stood up, a light smile tugging at the corners of her mouth, "Madam Fenton, could you kindly show me the way? I need to use the restroom."

"Of course."
