Bonding Delicacy~

"LIVE YOUNG, DIE YOUNG!"

I raised my head to look over. A drunk group of men with two or more girls under each of their arms. They were obvious dwindling around drunk. They've crossed paths with someone they shouldn't have, however.

Akira and Gena were to get us some drinks from the counter. The group walked into them, cat calling Gena. Akira - slightly tipsy - raised his fist and showed his ID.

"A Scout? *hic* What does that have to do with us making you bleed, loser? Hahaha!"

One of the men said.

That laugh...

It sounded like the...devil.

I turned my head to them, analyzing.

"Let her join us the night, Mr. Scout~

We will take good care of her~"

Gena rolled her shoulder under the stranger's touch. Akira was much smaller, he couldn't help but hesitate. But I had no such hesitations.

"What's the problem here?" I appeared in front of them from the shadows. Gena, not as drunk as the others, widened her eyes.

'How did she...'

I heard her inner voice.

"Oh my heavens..! Look at this sl*t! Gosh, she with you, shorty?" The man asked Gena who glared at him.

"Yes she is. And we're leaving—"

"No! I will beat his ass!" Akira growled angrily once I was by his side.

"Oh? Someone's getting manlier with two hot chicks by his side, eh? Well, check this out. I've been practicing this move..." One of the guys stepped in, facing Akira.

"What move..." Akira squinted his eyes and leaned forward - big mistake.

The guy was preparing a punch!

"ACK—!" Akira stumbled backwards, expecting the punch. But it never came. My open fist stopped it just in time.

"Oooo..." The crowd was gathering around,

"Lady..." A bigger guy, intimidated by my presence stepped forward. He tried to touch my shoulder but,

Time to use my space-time manipulation.

Pausing time to near zero I walked around adjusting everyone's raised fist and weapons against each other. Punches on each other's faces, bonks on each other's heads, everything was set and I was delighted.

And...boom!

"Oh! Ah! Argh!"

I laughed at the little show.

"What is going on here?"

The ferocious voice of our CAPTAIN forced through the chaos. Silence was bestowed.

"You're laughing. You caused this?" Her fierce gaze landed on me and Akira. The poor guy had become sober at the sight of his captain.

"N-No, Captain. She was trying to save us and- and it happened suddenly. They punched each other. They were drunk, obviously haha—" Akira was explaining, stumbling on his words. But a harsh glare from Captain Janet shut him up.

"You," She walked over the fallen drunken bodies of the group and approached me,

"You've been suspicious since you've entered the building. I've heard rumors about a...protector." Janet said. I raised an eyebrow.

"Who are you?"

It was an ironic question.

I gazed deep into her eyes. The urge to manipulate her and make her forget all doubts on me was tempting. But what's fun in having no one to doubt me while I do my job?

Benefit of the doubt, is what humans call it.

I call it 'having motivation'.

"I am ROXY. "

I answered simply. My answer was not wrong. Just not the answer she was looking for.

But...what is this aura surrounding this woman?

It's pale purple...

I've only seen it on...

Nevermind.

Having a purple aura only meant or calculated how many sins they've done in their past life.

This is how it works:

Having a purple aura describes the extent of their sins from past lives. Humans are naturally governed by The Seven Sins. The universe is all about balance. So is the aura.

To preserve balance, the human must do all good things in their next lifetime - hence the display of purple aura.

But that wasn't what I was amazed by.

Beyond my normal field of vision...there was a man sitting with his huge sword of doom.

He was blinding me.

Not with purple, but with the color opposite on the spectrum: He was glowing golden.

And there was only one person in history who had this pure, sin-free aura around him ever...

Sijna.
