It was now time to embark on their journey. Reno went ahead to meet up with Kanon Sokolov before joining up with the other three. He wrote down in his note: "Do you really think he can become a valuable asset for humanity?" Reno asked in a piece of paper as he placed it in Kanon's palms.
Kanon Sokolov stared at him with a hopeful glint in his eyes. "How much do you trust me, Reno?" Kanon asked him. "We have known each other for about ten years now, and in those ten years, I have never failed any of you in my direction as the Commander of the Umbra Knights, is that correct?"
Reno nodded, he was quite worried that this would turn into a conversation about Kanon himself. He nodded in agreement to the question that his Commander asked him.
"I have no intention of breaking my streak, my friend. I think that having a weapon such as Leon would really bring a pleasant surprise in our success rates. I mean think about it, since when have we had an 'Art of Shezmu' user in our ranks? Maybe this could be our big break!" Kanon got hyped up as he said that.
"Are you just treating this kid as some kind of weapon?" Reno wrote. Kanon Sokolov shook his head. "No, of course not. I am going to guide him, we as his seniors have that responsibility to manage together. The Umbra Knights will not piggyback off of his efforts, we are in this together." Kanon assured him.
"But like I said yesterday, if the whole situation turns out to be sour and ends up in Leon Vergil not being able to contain his Lunaseeker abilities, then I give you the permission to judge and execute him if necessary." Kanon's joyful face turned into a shade of seriousness as he said that.
Reno left and made his way towards Kanon's house, where Leon Vergil, Damian Rose, and Kyro Shin were all waiting.
"Sorry for being late, are you ready?" Reno said as he waved at them in an apologetic way.
