"That's nice of you, Selen," said Afena ambivalently. She truly did not know how to feel about the display the goddess was putting on for her. She still let some gratitude sip into her tone. "But it's not necessary."
"No?" wondered Selen as she walked gracefully, royally, towards Afena. The echoes of the water whirling around her calves bounced off the underground cavern pleasantly. "I'll still keep this form for a little while, if you don't mind. Sometimes, we don't like to admit that something does wonders for the perception of ourselves."
"I would have preferred you helped me out with that enak while it was torturing me." Afena kept on picking at the diamond ore.
"That wasn't the enak," said Selen casually. "The enak is that corpse a little ways behind."
