The gods have killed all the witches.

Well, one of them still survives. And thankfully, her sisters were able to take many of the gods with them. But when a goddess resurfaces to take over the human world, will our heroine accept a call to stop her? Or will she prefer to be left alone and live a simple, peaceful life by herself?

And what will she do if others come expecting her to help? After all, Afena is known to have killed a god by herself. How can she escape that kind of reputation?

Afena Inarenta

"It's time," said Tak. "Come one, Inarenta. It's time."

Afena awoke to this call. It was completely dark inside the mountain, so even though she knew and felt that her eyes were open, she saw nothing except a curious glow that came off Tak's eyes. It was silver, but shed no light on anything it might have fallen on.

She sat and yawned. "Thank you, Tak. Sorry for bothering you, asking to wake me up."

"It's no bother," replied the enina. "Let's step out so I can give you your things."

They climbed out of the mountain, where it was still dark because it was barely dawning, but Afena could use her magic to enhance her eyes and make them more sensible to what little light there was outside.
