Pleasant Dealings

"It's time," said Tak. "Come one, Inarenta. It's time."

Afena awoke to this call. It was completely dark inside the mountain, so even though she knew and felt that her eyes were open, she saw nothing except a curious glow that came off Tak's eyes. It was silver, but shed no light on anything it might have fallen on.

She sat and yawned. "Thank you, Tak. Sorry for bothering you, asking to wake me up."

"It's no bother," replied the enina. "Let's step out so I can give you your things."

They climbed out of the mountain, where it was still dark because it was barely dawning, but Afena could use her magic to enhance her eyes and make them more sensible to what little light there was outside.
