An awkward kindness

Arel brought her to the next room where Frost was staying.

"Frost, are you there?" Keira knocked on the door. Soon the door opened, A tall figure emerged with a sorrowed expression that Keira had to ask worriedly, "What happened to you?"

Arel who was standing behind Keira knew what was going on. But unfortunately, his mate didn't realize how loud she moan when she mate with him.

Seeing how concern she was looking at him made Frost sorrowful heart feel better, knowing that she care about him. However, his cheeks were flushed red at the luscious scent of her body and her loud moans this morning that had driven him crazy, making him so envious of Arel 'The lucky b******'

He let out a deep breath to calm himself, trying to normalize his voice, "I'm fine It's just..The room was hot"

Seeing Frost reaction, Arel sneered in disgust. This bearded kid was really a pain in the ***. Although Frost was in his late twenties, for Arel who has been around for thousands of years, frost's nothing but a two-year-old child.

"Oh, is that so? Your cheeks are so red" Keira reached out cupping on frost's cheeks and subconsciously stroked his beard 'It's so tingling'...

Arel quickly wrapped his hands around her waist, pulling her back. making her regain her sense and quickly cleared her throat.

She then took out the jam, handing it to Frost, "I made jam from berry and sweet amber, so I brought one for you"

Frost picked up a wooden jar and curved his mouth, he was pleased that she stroke him on the cheeks made his sadness completely disappear.

"Thank you... I'll put it to good use"

When Frost finished speaking, Keira quickly return to her room since she didn't want to delay to the point that Arel will start getting mad.

In the afternoon, Arel went out to collect more herbs, and Keira came out to sit in the lobby.

A middle-aged female saw her and immediately recognized her beauty so she approaching,

"Are you feeling better?" Emma asked with a pale face, she hadn't rested since her nephew was poisoned.

Turning her face, she met the middle-age female who Arel has told her that she's helped take care of her while Arel was out hunting monsters.

"I'm feeling better madam, Thank you for taking care of me" She bowed her head politely to express her gratitude. What Keira did was uncommon manner that amazed Emma at Keira's politeness.

"Oh..dear it's not a big deal" Emma hurriedly lifted her up.

Feeling Emma's cold hands causing Keira to flinch, "Madam, are you feeling unwell?"

She lightly patted Keira's shoulder "Oh please Call me Emma, I just haven't rested after my nephew was poisoned by a monster"

"Monster's poison?"

"Yes, the monster that hurt you" Emma answered.

"You mean the Chief?"

"Yes, His condition hasn't gotten better even though we have tried our best" Emma couldn't help but sighed helplessly.

Feeling distressed after she heard the chief condition because somehow he help her killed the monster, she asked, "Aunt Emma, do you have anything I can help you with?"

"Actually, there is. Come with me" she led keira out of the inn "Usually, our tribe is always busy with trading. Either male or female will have jobs to do and the news of the chief got poisoned has turned all management duties to rest on the vice chief. Also, some members of the tribe were busy defending the tribe's border because monsters appear there recently and I'm really exhausted from taking care of my nephew's condition. Can you go watch over him for a while?" Emma explained. She knew that asking like this would be embarrassing, But because there was really no one else that she could ask for help.

Keira thought for a moment. If it's just watching for a while then it's fine. After all, the chief was injured when he went to kill monsters.

Keira nodded. "Alright, aunt Emma I'm willing to help"

Then Emma led her to the chief's quarter and told her she will come back soon.

The chief's quarter was made by wood, mud and straw roof, not much different from the other mud houses, just slightly larger. Showing how humble he was, Even though he has turned his whole tribe into such a large trade hub through his wisdom and strategies.

Opening the door, she was greeted by the strong smell that was both herbal and slightly citric of herbal medicine. There were many empty decoction cups placed on the table with bloody rags that have been used to wipe the blood, indicating that the person inside the room was severely injured.

In the middle of the room was a tall figure lying on the bed. The long ashen brown hair swayed slightly by the window breeze. His perfect proportion face was now paled by the poisonous wound on his arm. Though he was lying serenely, the hypnotic feeling was still there, drawing the viewer to get closer.

Looking at him with sympathy, his condition was really severe, even though she didn't even know his name, but she felt sorry for how much he was suffering.

She sat down next to the bed, reaching out to remove the bandage on his poisoned arm, revealing a deep wound that looked like it had been scratched by a large claw. Silently falling in to her thought, She tried to figure out what she could do to help him.

Letting out a deep sigh, she slowly took out her ring, and conjured it into a first aid kit 'Sorry Chief, this is all knowledge I have. If I know how to do surgery or stitches it would be much better' she thought, taking out a cotton ball with antiseptic to wipe his wound.

Keira felt a sudden dizziness which was the side effect of the conjuring, but she didn't expect that just a box of first aid would cause this intense side effect.

Sniffing down her dizziness, she continued wiping the antiseptic, applying the ointment, and bandaging the wound until it was done.

There were some remaining items in the first aid box so she searched for what else she could use. 'Antibiotics, Uh-huh why not..' she picked the capsule out of the seal and pushed it into his mouth.

But the cap hasn't entered yet, so she hammers it with powerful force and slap his mouth again and again, trying to push the pill in..

Then a sudden severe dizziness appeared making Keira's body collapsed to the ground, 'Damn it!! What if the capsule got stuck and he choke to death?' She thought while feeling sorry for this guy to meet her, a person who knew nothing about taking care of patients but was willing to help.

Lifting herself up, she took a wooden cup of water, and slowly poured it down his throat. Then she conjured the empty first aid box back to a ring and breathed a sigh of relief that this guy didn't choke to death.

Feeling exhausted, she sat down on the bed hoping her dizziness would get better soon.
