The phone rang over and over, and finally, Clara Brown picked it up and answered.

Before she could say "hello," Terry Garcia's thundering anger came from the other end.

"Clara Brown, what the hell are you doing?" Terry asked furiously after receiving another notice from Human Resources, "Who allowed you to interfere with the company's personnel?"

Startled by the first half of Terry's question, Clara only realized what he was looking for after hearing the latter part.

"Are you talking about me firing Lucy and Cindy Moore?"

"Yeah, who gave you that authority? By dismissing my secretaries like this, what would the employees think of me? Can't wait to see me fail, can you?"

Clara was furious that Terry brought it up, and her anger gushed out all at once.

"You brought this on yourself. Those sluts were gossiping about you in the company bathroom, and I overheard it! Naturally, I had to fire them, or should we let this toxicity continue in the company?"
