I saw the darkness speeding toward us as we fell. At the last second, Dash grabbed me and made sure I landed on top of him. We hit the floor with a loud grunt.
"Everybody okay?" Oliver asked. He laid near Nicolette who had practically landed atop Kyler. He crawled toward us, a gash over his right eye. Blood oozed momentarily but stopped when he passed his hand across his face. The gash didn't completely close, but he had obviously helped himself.
"Fuck," Dash cried out when he tried to move. He grabbed his shoulder and shrieked loudly, wincing in pain. He'd be worthless in a fight.
"You didn't have to do that!" I grabbed the hem of his shirt and lifted it over his head. "I think it's out of place."
"No shit!"
Braeden crawled to us. "You can fix it with my elements."
"Are you sure?"
"Just like we practiced, Cass."
