Chapter 37: Cassandra

I turned in time to see her leaping into the air, an ice sword in each hand. She landed in the middle of the writhing sarchi and began slicing up monsters as if she were a butcher in a meat shop. Blood and body parts soared through the air, and in less than a minute she'd carved up every sarchi in front of us. A maniacal look in her eyes, she turned in search of more creatures.

"Nooo!" Aeden yelled. He knelt next to Estelle while the guys tried to keep the creatures at bay.

I raced toward the army of death, spreading my fingers before creating two swords of fire, Nicolette joining me as I joined the fray. We were a couple of badass females looking to kick sarchi ass. As much as we annoyed each othe,r we fought well as a team.
