Casandra walked the busy street led by Lakis. Nephthys was perched on her shoulder, seemingly trying to hide her face in her feathers. Obviously, she did not like crowds. Casandra saw that the sunlight was fading and Lakis seemed to be in an awfully big hurry for it being so late.
They had just disembarked from the ferry and Lakis immediately set out through the city center. He was just a man on a mission, and she decided to not try to figure out where he was going. She would just try to keep up.
They came to a set of gates which let them back outside of the walls of the city and into some rocky grazing fields. She could hear goats and sheep in the distance. Finally she could not wait any longer.
“Lakis!” she moaned. “Can we stop for the night? I am so tired.”
