Low power level.

The man strolled until he reached where Hugo was standing along with the two guys in black. He first glanced at the teen students that had continued their training, then he glanced at Hugo...definitely, this was a new face. The guy holding the AK-47 uttered,

"Captain Wayne, this is a new survivor that made it to the Lotus sage academy".

Captain Wayne took his eyes off Hugo and focused them on the guy that made that statement, then he inquired of him,

"Are you sure he isn't infected?".

"Yes sir". The guy responded.

"Any small mistake and everyone here would be in great danger. Are you sure?".

"Yes sir, we checked him properly, he isn't infected".

The captain forwarded his hand to them and said, "Hand me the device, am gonna check myself".

'Wow! Even though they had told him that am not infected, he still wants to check himself? They are being very cautious'. Hugo thought to himself.

They handed the device over to Captain Wayne, then he pressed the button on it and put it close to Hugo's neck. The device made no alarming sound, then he put it close to Hugo's eyes, and it made no alarming sound either. Then he handed the device over to the guy and uttered,

"He isn't infected".

Then he inquired of Hugo, "What's your name, young boy?".

"My name is, Hugo". Hugo responded.

"So you journeyed to this place all by yourself?".

Umm..he accomplished it with the help of the system, it was of great help to him, but he can't tell them that a system assisted him? So he said,

"Yes, all by myself".

"Hmm", Captain Wayne let out, then he glanced at one of the teens training and said to him, "Go get me the power level checking device, we've got to check his power level".

Power level? What power level? Were they thinking that he had superpowers? Like he could make fireballs and all that? These were the type of questions that filled Hugo's mind. But his thinking was wrong, they were talking about another type of power level. Power level in terms of his strength, his fighting skills, and so on.

The teen student had already gone to bring the power level checking device, but he hadn't arrived. So Captain Wayne used that opportunity to converse with Hugo a little.

"Getting to this academy was a struggle, right?".

"Yeah, it wasn't easy". Hugo retorted.

"I can tell by the blood on your face, this is most likely the blood of a zombie, right?".

"Yes".

"Hmm, your will to survive is strong". Captain Wayne stated.

The young teen arrived with the power level checking device in his hand, and he handed it to the captain. The device was just like a watch, once they place it on your wrist, it would wrap around your wrist itself. The captain placed the device on Hugo's wrist, and it wrapped around it. After waiting for some seconds, a digit appeared on the screen of the device with something written in front of it and behind it,

[ Power level: 5 - Low]

"His power level is low". Captain Wayne voiced out.

Hugo was still confused as to what they meant by power level, so he inquired,

"Power level? What do you mean by power level?".

"That's your strength, abilities, fighting skills, and so on. Like, if you're good at martial arts, sword fighting, and 'cause of the time you've spent training, you've got strength...that's the type of power level I am talking about".

"Oh, am not good at any of those, didn't get the chance to train". Hugo voiced out.

Captain Wayne took the device off Hugo's wrist, then he inquired of him,

"Do you have any relevant skill?".

"Relevant skill?". Hugo questioned with a type of confused facial expression.

The captain pointed at those people creating things, the blacksmiths, the carpenters, and so on. Then he uttered,

"Skills like theirs, it doesn't have to be exactly like theirs, but do you have any relevant skill?".

Hugo was afraid to say no, first of all, his power level was low, and now, he's got no skill? But he'll have to say it, it wasn't his fault,

"No, I've got no skill".

"Then you'll have to join the class immediately, you'll go straight to the beginner's class, that's the A class".

"The A class?". Hugo inquired.

"Yeah, the A class. This academy is differentiated by classes according to the power level of a student. There are three classes, first of all, the A class, that's the beginner's class, you'll have to start going through the basic training so you would become stronger. Then there's the F class, that's just like the average class. They aren't weak, but they aren't that strong either. But they are no joke, they are no longer beginners, their fighting skills have improved, their power level have increased,

And lastly, the S class, that's the highest class. The students and survivors there have improved greatly, their fighting skills are good, and their power levels are high. They can be called experts when it comes to handling their weapons. To pass through these classes, your power level has to increase, your fighting skills would improve greatly, and so on,

Not everyone that came here had to start from the very beginning like you, some came here and made it to the F class or S class immediately. Those ones were good at martial arts before, they've been training before the apocalypse broke out...their power levels were high. But it doesn't matter which class or rank you're in, all of us are soldiers that want to survive this zombie apocalypse. We have one aim, we are one,

Most of you struggled to get here after hearing about this place, you had to pass through zombies, it isn't an easy task, that shows your will to survive".

He then placed his palm on Hugo's shoulder and uttered, "So as you young boy, you struggled to get to this place, that shows your will to survive, the blood on your face is enough evidence. So it doesn't matter if you'll be starting from the beginning, it doesn't matter if you'll start from class A. Get stronger, and you'll move to the next class".

Hugo just smiled and nodded his head, he loved the words of the captain, it was so soothing. The captain then pointed at the two young guys that were dressed in black and uttered to Hugo once again,

"Look at these guys that brought you into this academy, they are Class S, but when they first came to this academy, they were Class A. So".

Hugo just nodded his head as the guys smiled a little, then Captain Wayne voiced out once again,

"Where are the Class A students here?".

They identified themselves by raising their hands, then the captain uttered once again,

"A new student is gonna be joining your class".

Then he glanced at Hugo and said to him once again,

"You see? They are A class students, but they are out here training with the help of my comrades, they want to become stronger. That's the type of resolve you should have. Let me take you to your class".

Before he and Hugo began strolling, he said to the guys in black, "You guys can go back to your post. Thanks for bringing this guy in here and for checking him well before bringing him".

The guys just bowed and began sauntering away. Then he began strolling as Hugo followed him from behind. They entered the entrance of the building that Captain Wayne came out from when he was summoned for. They began mounting the staircase until they reached the third floor. Then they began mounting the staircase that led to the second floor, which means that the A class wasn't on the third floor.

They arrived on the second floor, then they began strolling along the corridor. As they strolled, Hugo glanced at each compartment they passed. The doors to the compartments were closed, so he glanced through the windows. He didn't see much, but he saw that some of the compartments were just like nice rooms, they had beds and other things a room should have...they were limited though.

Passing a compartment, Hugo saw a man with skinhead sitting on the ground and facing the other side. He was facing a certain image and praying, or should I say...meditating. From the look of things, he was an old man and he was also a monk. What was a monk doing in this academy? Well, Hugo doesn't want to think about that right now, he'll find out later.

He and Captain Wayne continued strolling until they arrived at Class A.
