Chapter 14

Quietly sitting in the backyard still thinking about what just happened some hours ago, I don't know what has actually gotten into me because I know very well I am not supposed to get attached to anybody for the time being because of the pregnancy. I have to complete the necessary procedure before I get into any kind of relationship. Then the bitter truth is down on me who knows maybe he won't reciprocate the love I have for him or even like me if he finds out I'm carrying someone else's child. I know I am just wasting my time on him since I am just crushing on him from far without him knowing but I wish I could have him all to myself which I know it's impossible. I know he only kisses me because he's drunk. If not, what will he do with the likes of me? If he's in his real state of mind he won't even take a glance at me talkless of kissing me. I sigh and get up from where I was seated and walk inside to continue my work.

I'm leaving for Mrs Charlie's mansion today when the chauffeur will come to pick me up. Sam and Mia are patiently waiting for the chauffeur to come too since they won't be going with me but promise to visit me when I settle down there. We were all seated in the parlour Mia and Sam telling me the do and don't to avoid problem

"Try not to get involved in thing that doesn't concern you, that way you won't be in trouble" Mia advice

"Don't worry I won't" before any of us could talk again there's a knock on the door which Sam went to open the door " please I'm here to see miss Lilly" the person said

"And who are you?"Sam asked

"I'm Mrs Charlie chauffeur, I'm here to pick Miss Lilly up"

"Oh! Give me some minutes" and Sam came back " it's the chauffeur his here to pick you up"

"Oh, okay let's me get my things"

"Don't worry I will do that,take your time. '' Sam said, collecting the suitcases from me. Mia wrap her hands around me in embrace "know that you can come back whenever you're tired or not comfortable there"

"Don't worry, I will put that at the back of my mind"

"Do take care of yourself and don't hesitate to call us when you need us. We're always there for you, and always remember that we will always love you no matter what"

"I will and I love you both too" with that they both embrace me in a warmly hug which i give the key to the house to Mia so she would give it to the landlord and also the money I'm owing him because I don't think after everything I will be coming back here rather I will get a new place of my own. I waved at them entering the car since they were still standing in front of the apartment waving at me too. I didn't stop waving at them until I couldn't see them again and sat down after adjusting the seat belt. It took us close to an hour before we arrived at Mr Charlie's mansion since it's a little bit far away from where I stay. The chauffeur entered the mansion and park the car inside the car park before coming down to open the door for me which I came down and adjust my cloth that got squeezed I'm about to pick my box up when the chauffeur collect it from me"don't worry ma'am I will take them inside" he said picking the two boxes up

"Thank you" I said following behind him which the door was opened for us about to set my foot inside when I overheard their conversation

"How could you bring her here,without informing first?" The voice said which with no doubt is her husband

"I don't think I need to do that, because I have every right to bring whosoever I want to bring inside the house or don't i have that?" Mrs Vivian asked

"O spare me the sermons, we're to decide things together not the other way round and you should stop taking decisions in my absence. Don't you think you're crossing the boundary?" Mr Charlie asked her

"Since when did that start, because last I checked you never mention about anything like boundary between us, and for your information she's on her way here and will arrive shortly so mind the way you talk"

"So fucking what? I don't care if she's here or not. I just want to know why you take all the decisions without informing me first"

"Stop using the f word with me. You will not say anything in front of her and damage my reputation or else"

"Or else what?"

"Or else we go down together" Vivian threatened

"Spare me the bullshit, have done nothing wrong to go down with you and moreover am not a celebrity or someone that likes appearing on social media for my reputation to damage like yours, but let me remind you I will say or do whatsoever I wish to do in these house because it's mine" that is the last thing that I heard before the loud bang of a door

"Oh gosh! What have I gotten myself into, these the second time now, I just hope Mia and Sam will not come and retrieve my dead body" I said muttering under my breath, I composed myself and walk inside to seat before Mrs Charlie came down

" Oh! Welcome Lilly, you're here already"

"Yes ma'am"

"Good, hope the drive where was safe and not stressful?"

"No ma'am it's not"

"Okay, come let me show you to your room. I think you will feel more comfortable if you're a little far away from us so you can have your own privacy"

"Thank you"

"I should be thanking you for moving in so don't worry about thanking me" she said as we walked out from the parlour, me following her behind. We followed a long corridor before we arrived at my room. The room is not actually big nor small but it's well furnished and decorated, simple but yet elegant" hope you like it?" Asked Mrs Vivian

"Yes I do, thank you"

"It's okay, feel free I have some business to attend to. Whenever you need anything feel free to ask the maids will be there for you, just inform them okay"

"Alright thank you so much"

"You're welcome" she said and left,which I used that opportunity to check out the room more. I love the colour and the way it's decorated. I found out that there's a secret back door that will lead me outside without anyone noticing me when going out which will save me from the stress of going out through the main door

It's been a week now since I stayed with Mrs Charlie and have been going to work with the car she left for me with the chauffeur to take me to any places I want to go. I do see Sam and Mia but they have not visited me yet but promise to visit me one of the days when I am well acquainted with them and the house which I agree with. I'm having an appointment with the doctor which we will be going to together with Mrs Charlie.

I dress up and waited for her at the parlour which some minutes later she came out well dresses

"Oh Lilly, I'm so sorry for wasting your time. Come let's get going" I followed her since we're using one car. We arrived at the hospital and luckily enough we arrived at the exact time for us to see the doctor, since we already booked before coming. The doctor did some scanning and asked us to seat down which we did

"I think we should redo implementation because the first one didn't enter the right pipe which we have to flushed it out then next week you come for another one" the doctor said

"I just hope there's no going to be any problem next time" Mrs Vivian asked calmly which I thought she's going to be angry but she didn't, after flushing out the first implant we were asked to come back a week after which we left

"I think we should go for a little shopping"

"No thank you I have enough already"

"No, let's go, we have decided and that's all. Just choose what you want the bills are on me after that let's go and have dinner"

"Okay"

"Oh Iess I forgot, you will be meeting my husband today, we're going to have dinner together tonight. Guess you have not met him yet?" She's asked

"Yes, I haven't" I replied shortly

"He's been busy all this while that's why, but don't worry he will be joining us for dinner tonight. Hope you're okay with that?"

"Yes I am" we shop for a while which I didn't pick much but Mrs Vivian picked different kind of clothes, shoes and bags for me seeing I didn't anything from those side which she even take me to the jewelry section and bought me some jewelries I couldn't say anything I just keep following her around which we left after she pays the bills which our bags were taken to our car. We arrived at home a little bit late which I told Mrs Charlie I want to go and freshen up before coming out later for dinner

Done with arranging my clothes and shoes I freshen up and rest for a while before going out to meet them. When I entered the parlour I didn't see anyone which means they're not out yet, shortly after Mrs Vivian came out alone. I'm expecting to see her husband with her husband but I didn't see him

"Sorry for keeping you waiting Lilly. Let's go and seat down My hubby will soon be joining us soon" she said which I didn't say anything rather I followed her to the dinning area where variety of food were placed as if some people are coming to join us which I know it's just the three of us the table is set for. We were seated for a while waiting patiently for Mr Charlie to come out but he was nowhere to be seen. Mrs Charlie was about to get up to go and call him when she heard the sound of his footsteps coming down from the stairs which she sat down without bothering to welcome him. He came straight to the dinning area while Mrs Charlie got up to hug him but he shifted from her side drawing his seat backward to seat without looking at her while my head was down but I could see everything going on. Mrs Charlie got angry but didn't allow her emotions to get the better of her since I was there which I pretended not to see what's going on

"Darling meet Lilly" she said to her husband trying to get his attention which she's lucky he look up " and Lily meet my husband" she said which I raise my head to greet him but was shocked to see who her husband is

"You" Mr Charlie said pointing at me with his finger which I just sat there like a statue without uttering any word. I couldn't believe who I was seeing of all the people I never expected he would be the way. I wished it could be someone else but who am I to wish for what's in my front life. Mr Charlie didn't say anything and he didn't drop his finger pointed at me while Mrs Charlie was confused about what's happening right in front of her. I wanted to say something but nothing is coming out of my mouth which I just kept quiet waiting for what to happen next
