A Couple's Love

Now I don't know how he did that, but I do know that however he did it he forgot about the after effect of the spell that gets released in midair while in motion till it hits its target. The elf looked unfazed almost like the spell had no effect on him. How did he do this? I know that the royal family was guaranteed safety from spells, but I never knew that other elves could.

Suddenly a new elf approached by the side of the enemy elf. The boy looked familiar almost like I had seen him before. I traced his eye contact and met Lumia's eyes. Were they worried about something big? They nodded and fired at each other. With a bang both disappeared.

In an instant people rushed to find them after all both of them were the key to finding success in this war. Now I don't know what made me think that I'd find them at the same cherry blossom tree, but I did. Lumia looked as if she'd been crying, and right beside her was that same elf who had saved her multiple other times. I watched as he comforted her in his arms. He stroked her hair and gave her kisses on her forehead.

I was in awe. They looked like the perfect couple. I was very careful to make sure that I did not disturb them. I was so happy my little girl had finally found love. Joy was all I felt. I noticed the boy had put a flower in her hair. She looked up and smiled.

I finally understood why she was so close to him. He was the love of her life, and she was his. A fairytale can only last for so long before something goes wrong. I noticed a strange figure in the background. He looked like he had been watching them for some time now, it looked like he was waiting for the perfect moment to attack. I watched and raised my arrow. I knew that she would be mad at me but at least she would be alive.

Then in the blink of an eye an arrow was shot. What just happened? Did she die? When the smoke cleared that same boy was holding Lumia in his arms almost as if he was trying to protect her. When Lumia regained conscious the strange guy took aim at her again! This time the boy was right there to stop him. He placed Lumia on the ground. And charged full speed ahead at the guy. He stopped, what just happened. A look that same look I had when I saw Ferron a second time.

Then it hit me that strange figure was his father. I threw on an invisibility potion allowing me to rescue Lumia. The boy turned back. I think he looked happy like he was saying thank you for saving her. I don't know what made me decide to go back and save him. But I knew it had to be done but within a blink of an eye they were gone.

When Lumia awoke again, I told her everything that had happened. She stood there in shock it looked like she was close to tears. I felt so bad for her, but at the same time she had also lost her ability to love. She told me she felt useless without him. As if she needed him to function. That's when she told me everything. How he'd helped her countless times. Almost if he would never leave her side. I finally understood why they had such a close connection. He loved her and she loved him they were almost inseparable.
