Chapter 109: Lost in a Haze

There were several doors leading out of the gym, and Hallie could see Mirabel in the window above, pointing to one of them. She must have seen which way Luke exited.

Hallie tried the door and found herself in yet another long, empty hallway. She didn’t know which way to go.

She wondered if she was better off talking to Luke when she had calmed down anyway. Mirabel’s guilt trip had worked her up, and she needed to think about what she was actually going to say instead of rushing into things.

“I don’t know… Maybe I should wait.”

“If you wait too long, he’s going to run off to Ibiza with some fashion model,” Mirabel scolded.

“I’m sure he won’t, if he’s serious about me,” Hallie said.

“You’re pushing your luck.”
