My name is Jasamina McCully and I am twenty years old.

Two years ago, my parents forced me to marry a rich congressman named Ludale McCully. A forty-five year old man that turned out to be the most abusive man on the whole planet.

"To save my family from poverty." My mother had said to me as she pushed me to marry the forty-five year old man. I was crying and begging my parents but they didn&#x27;t listen. I was just a means to an end.

He abused and beat me within an inch of my life for the past two years. Everytime I get the chance, I try to escape and every single time he finds me.

Then, he punishes me for ever trying to leave. The punishment is always worst than death. Because of that, I never tried to escape again.

After giving birth to my baby two months ago and loving him with my whole life...I know a time will come when I have to choose between being scared of my husband or trying to survive with my little boy.

"Yes. Mama made us go to church, even Uncle Tann. Uncle Tann whined that he's working but mommy made her Mommy Face and made him follow us anyway! You know my mama has this face she makes that me when I do wrong things." He giggled, "That's mommy trying to look mean, so she did it to Uncle Tann and Uncle Tann followed us to church!"

"Oh my God, Jaimie....!" I gasped in mortification, covering my face with my hands.

Tann chuckled loudly and continued eating. "Jay will tell my mother everything even before she reaches here."

Their footsteps got closer and then, Jaimie came into view hand-in-hand with Tann's mother.

Anya and I spent the day together. She has fully recovered from her sickness, thank God and it makes me happy.

Today,, I took her to some places in New York City she hasn't seen before. The outing was fun and refreshing. I've never been so happy in a long time and I know the same goes for Anya.
