Chapter 155: Spur On The Flames

Eleonore’s POV

I woke up later that night to a headache, my head and feet were… cold, and it wasn’t until I fully opened my eyes did I realize that the balcony door to the room was left wide open. The white curtains flew lightly in the wind as it wafted through into the room and made the once warm room cold.

I stretched as I stood up, pushing Hayden’s arm off of me as I climbed over Rhett on the other side and pulled one of the small blankets as I went. I felt him move lightly from beneath me as I tried to not touch him as I climbed over him, but he blinked his eyes open as he woke up too.

“Eleonore?” His deep, sleepy voice called out to me.

‘I’m just closing the balcony,’ I told him through the link, ‘you can go back to sleep.’

Rhett’s eyes moved from me to the open door for a moment before he nodded and turned back into the warmth of the bed. “Come back quickly,” he mumbled as he pulled the covers over him more.
