Chapter 19: True Friends

Matt

Matt could still remember the first time he met Kinley. It was about four years ago. He had just moved to the city. He didn't really know anyone. He had dated on and off, but just couldn't seem to find that special someone.

He always thought he was doing something wrong. He never really had anyone to teach him about the ins and outs of dating, or marriage. He was having a particularly bad day when he saw Kinley's Korner Bookstore. He went in.

Their friendship blossomed from there. Matt had a slight crush on her at first, but he knew being friends with her was much better than trying to pursue something romantic. She introduced him to Natalie and the three of them became inseparable.

He hadn't been to the bookstore in a while due to always traveling for work. He had some free time and thought he would stop in to see Kinley.

The bells chimed when he entered the store and Kinley's smiley face greeted him from the checkout counter.
