Chapter One Hundred Five: The Kingdoms Queen

It had been days since Aurora had given birth and though it had been tough on her, Aurora had finally recovered enough to be able to move on her own. The amount of energy that it took to give birth, was immense and she had felt completely drained.

Since her recovery, Ember and Aurora had spent even more of their time together. They had discussed future plans for the Kingdom and how best to fix ongoing issues from outside of it.

" I'm telling you Ember, something is coming and I can sense it. I don't know where it's going to come from but we have to be ready" Aurora warned Ember as they strolled through the palace.

" I haven't sensed anything " Ember didn't doubt Auroras concerns but if she couldn't sense the issue then they could be in serious danger.

" And I'm going to be honest with you..If something should happen. I don't want you here" Aurora revealed, stopping and turning to Ember. " I want you to take Kara and run..if something were to happen" Aurora's face hinted a sense of urgency.

" I am not going to leave. If something is going to happen then we will work to defend the Kingdom together. I'm not sure what it is that we will be dealing with but we will be ready nonetheless " Ember, whilst originally had sworn to ensure the saftey of Kara, now believed Aurora herself had potential. Which was the first time that she had ever felt that way about the once Wicked Queen.

" We won't be able to fight this without an immense loss of life.." Aurora turned and continued to walk forward, with Ember following by hee side.

" Do you believe that this..feeling you have...is concerning an attack from outside the Kingdom or from within? " Ember asked, though Aurora had no clear answer to this question.

" I don't know..but what I do know..is that -" before she could finish her thought, the conversation had been interupted by the calls from behind them, coming from Auroras mother.

" Aurora I wish to speak with you" Aurora sighed and turned to her mother, and went with her to the Throne room where the King was awaiting their arrival.

" Aurora..we have a problem" The Queen sighed, glancing to her husband for further elaboration.

" The Lycans..they will not be able to offer their child to us " He explained.

Aurora seemed confused " How would you know this? "

" Because, for security purposes, we have our own scouts. And those scouts have heard the rumors that a deligate will be arriving any day to discuss the situation with us. However, we do know that the Prince will not be able to be married to Kara" The King seemed rather distraught over the Intel whereas Aurora was slightly relieved.

" Well, I would say that it doesn't matter" Aurora answered calmly. " I know that it was originally believed that marriage would be the only way to actually bring peace. But, it is to my own understanding that the Lycan Royal family is not quite fond of marrying off their own through the promise of peace. So, I suggest that instead of doing that, you allow me and my own trusted advisor, to meet with the deligate so that we can come to another deal" Aurora's solution was both surprising and the only option they would have at this point. Acting against the idea, would bring aggressive consequences. And though, in the past, they could have went that direction, easily.

" Aurora, I sincerely hope you know what you are doing because if this goes wrong, we are going to be in serious trouble " The King advised though Aurora knew the risk all too well.

" I promise, I can handle this. I will do whatever it takes to bring peace and I will do so with the idea that anger, and uncompromising attitudes will get us nowhere. I know that I am young, but I can handle this" Aurora assured. " The way things have been, have proven that peace cannot be achieved. But this way, the new way, will mark a new day. A day in which, things change"

And there, stood a proud father and mother, proud to see that their daughter had managed to take on a task willingly, and to do so in a way that would possibly be the proper way to handle issues in the future. But for now, they needed to wait and see what would happen.
