The Hunters 3

We were being watched, a massive humanoid figure coming out of the Ironwood Trees. At least 3 kuart tall. Swollen muscles, bulging, pulsating viens, and terrifying carnivorous teeth with webbed cheeks similar to a lizard.

It was definitely a Ripjaw, not only that appearance but the crude loincloth confirmed it. But why the hell is it so big!?!?

Ripjaws, at mos, get up to 2 kuart tall. About the same size an an orc. But this thing is actually a little over 3 kuart!

It didn't take me but a second to figure it out, this ripjaw killed the bear. It's definitely big enough and the bite wounds look like a match, the only question is how hostile is it? It's staring at us with those crazy red eyes...

Olaf seems to be doing fine, bit Kieran and Miaa on the other hand are shaking in your boots, idiots!

"Stop shaking, don't show it fear.." I quietly reassured them as I got in formation with them, cautiously putting my hand on my swordhandle.

Ripjaws are a mixed basket, alot of them are complete savages only good for slave labor, but sometimes they turn out smart. Although dumb to us they're the scholars of their people.

"Olaf, get ready to take vanguard if things go wrong. I'm going to try and talk to it." We came to kill the bear so we aren't weak but...this is an unknown that killed it. But judging by the bruises on its arm and healing bite mark on its shoulder, not without injury. Still though, best to talk incase.

Question is what exactly do I say to this walking nightmare? It's not moving, its just standing there menacingly! Well, here goes nothing.

"Hello there...that your kill? Your. Kill?" Gotta speak slow, it might not be very bright considering its looks and species.

No response...can it understand me? It just keeps staring at us...Miaa looks ready to piss herself, Kieran might pass put. Olaf and I might be the only reliable ones here, hmph. Dumbass green horns!

"hUmAnS." THAT'S ITS VOICE!? It sounds distored and amplified all at once, making its voice echo in its throat and come out its mouth to spit pure terror at us.

But..this is good! It can speak, that's a good sign. Eh?

The Ripjaw pointed at the dead Forged Iron Bear, and then spoke.

"WaNt?"

"Eh?" I let out a little noise of confusion and bafflement.
