Responsibility

"You took a picture just now. Delete it." Kinrue said in a serious tone to those groups of teens.

"We didn't take your photo."

"I know you took it,"

"I said I didn't."

Kinrue eyes fixed on a phone the woman holds. She grit her teeth, looks down to suppress the emotion building up inside. A long silence came between them, but a few seconds past the group ignored her and act like she's not standing beside their table.

She's about to leave and go back to their table when a word came out from one of those woman's friend. It made her flinch and freeze for a second.

"I think I've seen her somewhere,"

"Isn't she the Him—"

Without hesitation, she walks back to their table with quivering eyes. She slam both hands on top of the table before she fixed her sight on the phone again. The murmurs are getting louder on the nearby table but didn't bother by it. Even the group get shock on what she did.

"Delete it," she said, emphasize the two words.

"M-Miss, what are you doing?" A man from their group asked.

"Give me your phone. I'll delete it myself. Give it to me." She's about to get the phone, but the woman hides it.

"Miss, are you crazy?"

"Just fucking give it to me," she raise her voice and grabs the woman's hair.

The people around get uneasy, even some of the woman friends stand up to stop her. In peripheral view, she glimpse on the woman's phone screen and saw her picture. She's not wearing an eyeglass or make-up, it made her madder. A lot of thoughts came out inside her mind, but instead of anxiousness, the emotion she felt was fear.

"Y-you. I told you to fucking delete it!" She pushed the woman hard, which made her fall to the ground.

A loud gasp echoes inside the shop.

There's a staff who came out to stop the fight and pull Kinrue away from the group. A tear falls from her eyes when she realizes the judgmental look from those people around. Her body trembles as she steps back. After a few steps, she bumps into someone from behind. There's a warm hand who patted her head out of nowhere.

"You!" Many people startled when a child came out in front, pointing to a woman from before. "It's a crime to take a picture of someone without their consent. You should delete the picture now or Uncle will call the police."

"What's with the big deal of a single picture?" The woman mumbles while scanning the phone. It took only a few seconds before she show her phone to them. "I already delete it, without a backup. Happy? What a creep,"

"Let's go Kian, let's eat somewhere."

"If the picture will spread out again, Uncle will hunt each of you wherever you are. Be careful, ladies and gentlemen. Bye-bye."

The three walk outside the eatery shop without looking back. Not until then, when the people inside realize who is the man from before. They all gasped in surprise.

"I-Isn't the man is Raven Auclair? H-he's an Auclair heir."

"Didn't we offend him?"

"I-I guess we're doomed. He's been staring at us since the crazy woman walk towards us."

An hour passed, but Kinrue still didn't talk or do something and just followed the two. She covers herself from head to toe and if the zipper on her jacket can cover until the hoodie's top then, she'll definitely zip it so, others won't see her face. But in the end, she only wears the hood and uses a face mask to cover half of her face. Though the two men didn't know what's going on, neither one of them open up the topic from before nor asks something about it. After what happened in the eatery shop, she cried for half an hour without stopping and while in the middle of the walk; she becomes more anxious about her surroundings. She looks everywhere, as if guarding herself from anyone who'll try to approach.

After a long walk, they reach the Asura's town center where there are troupes of street performers. There are many people around watching them, some cheers for their beautiful performance.

"Uncle, can I play with those kids for a while?" Kian asked his uncle, pointing to those groups of children playing on the near playground.

"Sure. Be careful."

"Y-yeah, I'll be back."

Raven watches his nephew walk towards the playground and interact with the other child. Though he's still a child, he's as smart as an adult. Kian Auclair is the son of his older brother, who has a business out of town so, he left it with his care for a while. The child's mother also has an appointment so, there's no way he can reject his brother. He shrugs his head after remembering the reason his nephew is with him today. Few minutes past, the only noise you can hear is those people around them and the performer. He glance towards Kinrue who's focused in front, watching the performance. He felt awkward. This past month, they've been on edge with each other. All he can remember is the way they bicker and ruin each other days, but since earlier, Kinrue didn't speak a word. It's tiring to look at her.

"Elf, let's buy a new eyeglass while Kian is busy playing with others." He said, drags her away without consent.

He's sure in this kind of situation she'll protest, but no words or action came out. She just let her get dragged somewhere.

There're many shops near the Asura Town so, Raven looks around to find an eyeglass store. Luckily, there's a shop who sell a variety of designs. They went inside and look around until he saw an eyeglass which looks like her old one.

"Miss, can I look at this one?"

"Sure, is it for you?"

"No. It's for her," he points to Kinrue, who is beside him.

"This eyeglass has no grade, if do you want one you can have an appointmen—"

"No grade is fine."

"Okay sir, here's the eyeglass. You can try it." The woman give him the eyeglass. He gets the eyeglass and puts it on Kinrue. This time she looks at him with surprise, as if she just came back to her senses.

"It fits you well, same elf I know." He smirks and face the woman again. "I'll buy it. Do you accept cards?"

"Yes, do you want me to wrap it or not?"

"No need. She'll wear it now. Here's my card."

"Please wait a moment sir,"

In the middle of waiting for the woman, he looks at Kinrue, who is looking at the full body mirror on the wall. She put down the hood of his jacket and remove the face mask. Her eyes glisten again, seems she just revive from death. 'You're really something,' Raven thought, chuckling and shrug his head. After a few seconds, the woman give back the card so, both of them went back to Asura Town. Kinrue didn't hide her face anymore and eyes sparkling while gaze towards the Asura Town entrance. There are still many people around, some take a photo.

"Let's take a picture," she said.

"H-huh? Take a picture by yourself, you creep." He's about to walk back inside, but Kinrue stops him.

"I feel like I've been revive, those groups ruin my mood before, but now that I feel like a complete package again, my excitement came back. I'll forgive you for calling me a creep since you bought me an eyeglass, but it's just for today, let's commemorate this once in a lifetime kindness..." Raven give him an annoyed look, regretting what he did though it's too late.

Kinrue lends her hand in front as if waiting for something to give her.

"What is that? Do you want me to give you money?"

"No. Give me your phone. You let me borrow it before."

"I change my mind just now. I'll go back to Kian,"

"Give me your phone. Let me enjoy my free time and forget what happened before."

They stare straight into each other eyes before Raven gives up and gives his phone to her. As soon as she gets the phone, a picture of a beautiful woman welcomes her. There are five people in the photo but she only knows three of them, which is him, Arisa and the handsome man named Lewis, if not mistaken. There's another man and woman both look like an anime character.

"I don't know. You can smile, shithead." She mumbles.

Raven looks at her again and saw she's been looking at the photo with those playful smile on lips. He's about to take back the phone but Kinrue already clicks the camera and pulls him closer, wraps her right arm to his.

"Say, cheese."

She takes a picture of them with a wide smile, but Raven looks at her with annoyance by frowning his brows. After taking it, Kinrue scan the photo and saw the face he makes. She left out a short laugh, giggling alone.

"Like what I thought, your annoyed face is still the best. Let's go inside, shithead. There're many things I want to do since I'm fully recharged now." She laughs, drags him inside.

"H-hey, who told you I want to accompany an empty head like you? Let go of my hand," he protests.

"You should take responsibility for me,"

"R-responsibility? How long do you plan for me to take responsibility for you? Stop making fun of me and find something else to bug."

"W-well, you ruin my confession, my school life, love life, peaceful life, work life, even reputation and dignity. Overall, you ruined my whole life so, better take responsibility for the rest of your life." She gives him a mischievous smile, but Raven seems out of his senses after hearing what she said.

After a few seconds of silence, he clenches his fist and gives an intense glare at her.

"I'd rather die than take responsibility for you for the rest of my life. Let go of me," he pull his hand away from her grip and walk away.
