After another half an hour, the group rest and eat. They are buying their food but Kinrue sits alone in the resting area where there's a table for two or groups. It's a special place for those who want to rest and eat outside. Many people are in the area and you can see the center of town where those performers perform. Though it's rowdy, the place is still relaxing to stay and wide.
Kinrue heaves a sigh. She doesn't feel well, as the time passes, her body feels heavy and it's getting hard to move a lot. She rest her head on the table while staring at a group of a family opposite of the resting place direction. They are sitting together on a bench, a father, mother, older brother and sister. It's a whole perfect family. She's about to close her eyes, but someone put an ice cream cup in front. She sits properly and looks beside to know who gives it, but saw Raven Auclair's stony gaze.
"What is that? I don't need something from you," she cross both arms, roll her eyes to him.
"You should eat a proper dinner but you're a born stubborn brat so eat it instead." He said before sitting beside her.
"Don't sit beside me,"
"Hey elf," his tone become stern, that made Kinrue flinch.
"W-what?"
They stare at each other for a few seconds. It made the atmosphere awkward for them. She gulps and waits for him to say something, but he's just staring at her. It gives chills down her spine, so she looks away and eats the ice cream.
"He? You refer to whom?"
"What? Are you talking about earlier? Can't you just forget what I said?"
"We had a deal. You're not forgetting that we're supposed to break up once we have our own partner, right?" Kinrue stops from eating and looks straight at him.
"I remember everything, but..."
"But?"
"Let's stop talking about it here. I'm already annoyed. Let me cool down."
Both of them didn't talk to each other after that conversation. Until the four came who seems surprise to see them together. Kinrue felt their intense gaze, especially towards those two women who sit together in front of them.
"I wonder where did you go, Raven, but it seems like you're worried about her to be left here," Renkai asked with an awkward laugh.
"Worried? This woman is childish and stubborn. She needs a lot of attention."
"Lots of attention?" She looks at him with annoyance and disbelief, but Raven scoops a matcha flavored ice cream and feeds her.
"I don't want to be a babysitter, so behave yourself."
Even if she wants to retort, she snatches the ice cream spoon to him and eats with irk feeling. Lewis, who saw how the two fought each other, get a grasp on the situation their in and abruptly change the topic. In the simple moves, he makes the atmosphere change to a light one. The conversation didn't die and lighten the mood as they share some funny encounters these past years while Kinrue, who couldn't catch up with them, focus herself on finishing the ice cream while looking somewhere.
They stayed in the resting area for a few more minutes before they take a walk to digest the food. Compare to before, there's a few people around on where they are walking and most of them are busy watching the street performance on the town's center. Kinrue, who walks behind the rest, feels the chilly breeze of air. She didn't know if the weather was nice or her body just feel heavy. That's why she's dozing off. As they reach the center of the town, those noise becomes louder again. Peoples cheering and upbeat music lingers around the area. She looks in front and saw them talking to each other while glancing towards the center without looking back so, for a short while Kinrue stop walking and find a bench to rest.
It didn't take a long while because there are empty bench few meters away from her position. She walks towards and sits hugging herself. It's dark in her place and most of the people around the area focus on the performance, so the only thing she notice is their back. After a while, she didn't notice she's already dozing off alone despite of the noises around. She ajar her eyes when a rustle sound came and saw a man's figure in front.
"What are you doing here? You vanish and make them worry. They keep calling your name, so at least answer them if you hear."
"The weather is too great. It makes me doze off."
"Great your face! You're shivering because of the chilly breeze."
Raven, who found her in the middle of the darkness, supports her to stand. He removes the jacket he wears and gives it to Kinrue, who's almost half asleep instead of wearing it. She did nothing. A deep sigh escape his mouth before getting the backpack and wear his jacket on her.
"What the hell with your sudden mood change? Are you planning to sleep here?" He asked.
"Shut up! You're always scolding me. I hate you." She said, almost mumbling, but her hands are holding his arm as a support.
"I hate you the way you do. Get yourself together and let's go back to them."
"Go back to whom? It's your own circle of friends. I couldn't even catch up on your conversation. It makes me feel sleepy. Go back," she push him away. "I'll go home by myself."
Raven stare at her direction. He didn't know what happened to her after eating the ice cream, but even before that, she's been out of energy and barely argue with him. There's a time she stays silent or getting annoyed out of nowhere but she never accepts the others give excepts to him. He heaves a sigh again and checks if she has a fever, but the temperature is normal.
"What are you doing? I'm not sick." She said.
"You should go straight to your home after the class hour ends. I told you to rest, right?"
"I don't want to go home."
"You don't want to go home so, you just walk around like a lost child in the middle of this chilly night? If we didn't see you in that store, where do you plan on going?" He said, almost shouting at her stubbornness.
"Anywhere is fine as long as not inside that four corner room. I feel suffocated when I'm al—" she stops from talking and held back the words she's about to blurt out. "I'm fine."
Raven hiss, massages his temple. "Fine? You might not have a fever today but your body already feels heavy, right? If you didn't take care of yourself, then you'll end up getting sick." He said.
"I told you, I'm fine."
"Are you serious? Stop lying to me. If you get sick, who do you think will take care of you? You're living alone and don't even know how to cook or care for yourself. How come you survive alone?"
"Stop scolding me! It's enough sh*thead. I'm not fine, my body feels heavy and I feel anxious. The cold made me doze off so I take a rest. It's not like I want the attention of anyone or seeks for help to take care of me. I just need to get an overnight sleep, then I'll be fine. Don't exaggerate everything." She said, shouting.
They look at each other but Kinrue feels dizzy after those words she shouts. She sits down on the bench again with head down.
"I'm fine. Don't creep me out with your fake care. I'm not your responsibility."
Raven gives a short laugh. "Who's the one complaining a lot about how I ruined her life and almost shout all over the world that I need to take responsibility for the rest of her life?"
"I-It's me."
"Yeah, it's none other than you. I'm taking full responsibility for you and all you need to do is take care of yourself, so we didn't need to inconvenience each other. Do you understand me?" She nods her head.
"L-let's go home, I want to rest." Kinrue holds the helms of his uniform.
"You're really a handful one elf..." He said to himself.
There's still many people around, but luckily no one hears their conversation or else it's an embarrassing moment for him. He startled when she wraps her arm around his waist, rubbing her head on his tummy like a child seeking for attention. It's not his taste to tolerate this kind of act, but Kinrue is like an abandoned puppy finding a suitable owner who'll spoil her. He shrugs his head because of the thought and tousles her hair.
"What do you feel now?" He asked.
"Dizzy, headaches, and sleepy."
"Let's buy a medicine on the way home. If you refuse to take it, I'll throw you away." She nods her head as an answer.
Raven let her rest for a few minutes before going home. In the middle of waiting for her dizziness to subside, he heard a familiar voice behind.
"R-Raven? What are you two doing?"
