Chapter 27: The Temple of the Gods - Part 2

"Do you have even the slightest idea," Ransackiel growled, "how many resources it takes to send me a direct message? Teleporting down here is the 'easy' part!"

Hudson and Shudon stared at his otherworldly form, astounded. He looked the same as Durri had seen him in heaven, with his silver humanoid body and his orb of blue fire for a head.

"Thank you very much for coming," said Durri. "I don't know how many resources it takes, but I guess that's why your followers give donations."

"Not many!" the god-clerk snapped. "Probably because it's Judge who sets the rules for what happens to somebody after death and I'm just the one who fills out the paperwork! I don't have much of a say, so nobody bothers donating!"

"Well, you helped me," said Durri. "I know who 'I'll' be donating to from now on."
