Chapter 25: Do You Believe In Love

Anthony led me to the bench seat in the back of the sprinter van. My hands clasped the corners of each pair of seats we passed, eight in all. Should anything happen to me, there would be no doubt I’d been in that van. Though my fingerprints grew fainter and fainter as the years wore on my body, they were still there.

My paranoia thrust into high gear. Logically, nothing was going to happen—not with my small army present.

About halfway down the aisle, "Just What I Needed" burst through the overhead speakers.

I recognized Kyon's playlist just from that first song. We all loved music in general, but Kyon had the cheesy, 80's tracks. Kade was early 90's hip hop. Wulf was more into Beethoven and Bach, though he tended to keep that to himself.

Despite the seriousness of the situation, the twins turned into adolescents as soon as we boarded the sprinter. Their dancing in the aisle shook the van on its axles.
