Chapter 24: Unbroken

I choked, as a gulp of air was forced into my lungs moments before they seized. Rather than arching upward, my spine curved and thrust my pelvis into Anthony’s leg in the most erotic, nonsexual motion I’d ever felt.

After it subsided, I was left wondering, what if someone said the words while we were in the throes? An icy chill swept from my toes to my scalp. I shuddered. The sensation was enough to make me think maybe that was how nature intended.

"Thank you," I said, swallowing. "Now, what happened with Nash? Where is he? For that matter, where are we?"

"We are in a hotel about ten miles outside of Winston-Salem. We had to move after the incident. You are safe, he is confined, and that’s what counts," Wulf said.
