His fingertip trailed my thigh and tickled my groin. "I’m thinking we get married in New York."

"New York, huh?" I sighed. "That’s only a couple days away."

"I know." He threw a leg over mine and snuggled closer. "But wouldn’t it be great? It’s your biggest show of the tour. You’re dropping the new single. I’d like to be your husband in the human world before I become one of the undead."

I snickered. "Nobody’s undead."

"You know what I mean."

"I do." Again, I sighed. Shimmying out from under him, I rolled onto my side and propped my head on my hand. "I need you to know something."

His brow furrowed. "What’s up? You look weird."

"I look weird? Thanks for that." I laughed. He laughed with me. When I turned serious again, he frowned. "Anthony, I’m not in love with you. I care for you and the bond—"

The smile that thinned his lips stopped me. Those jasper orbs of his gazed at me in amusement. "I know that."

I recoiled. "You do?"
