The sun beat down on Tommy as he stumbled forward. Bastard Brady had Ruby and Tommy wasn't able to stop him. Pain lanced through his side as he forced one foot in front of the other. He had to keep going. Find Ruby. 


His breath stuck in his chest as his flank stung with too wide a step. Part of him said it was useless to keep going. To just lay down and close his eyes. There was no way to know which way Brady went or where he took Ruby. But Tommy pushed aside the doubt and kept moving forward. He would rest whenever he had Ruby in his arms and knew that she was safe. Still the image of Brady carrying her away burned in Tommy's mind. 


Bastard messed with the wrong family. When Tommy was finished with him, there wouldn't be much left for Rose's sons to pound into oblivion. No doubt they were now searching for her. Maybe they'd have better luck than Tommy.
