Chapter 24

Paul arrived in Mayfair. The parents received him very well, happy that he had finally returned. Jackeline was hopeful that Benjamin would accompany him, as she did not know that the two young men were no longer friends.

"Oh dear!" Emily hugs him tightly. "I hope you will tell me how things are going at your university. I can't believe my baby is so big!"

"Oh, mom..." Paul says and rolls his eyes, but smiles. Despite everything, he loves his parents.

"Finally you've arrived." A young man much like Paul, but older and bulkier, appears leaning in the doorway.

"George!" Paul goes to his brother and hugs him. They hadn't seen each other in years.

"Finally I say! You've been gone for the last two years!" Paul said, smiling. Paul and George were four years apart, which meant that the eldest of the Russell children was already free from the University.

"Yes, I've been busy." George gave Paul a meaningful smile and Paul, as a man, understood very well his brother's occupations.
