Ryann should have gotten a job years ago, but a failure to commit and a socially awkward disposition have left her collecting degree after degree. When she wins a trip to The Ski Lodge over winter break, she and her two best friends pack up and head out with dreams of adventure.

After a brief encounter with intensely awkward billionaire Chance Belgarde, Ryann is certain she never wants to see him again.  

Unfortunately, nature has other plans.

That night, the five of us sat in a row at dinner. Ava and Dan were on either side of me, with Paulo and Chance beside Ava. Our meal was subdued, but for the whispers and giggles coming from Paulo and Ava.  


When we were finished, we all stored our trays on the cart and stepped out into the hall.  


"Thank you so much," Vanya said to Terrance, a few feet away.  


Terrance smiled at her and walked away.  


Vanya turned and made eye contact with me before stepping around our group and heading off on her own.  


She'd been polite and kind to Terrance, but she'd always been rude to me. What was her deal? 


"Hi guys," Layla did a little hop and landed right in front of our group.  


I gave her a small smile while Ava and Dan said hello. Paulo moved beside Chance, and the two of them stared at Layla hard.  


"Do you want to hang out for a bit?" She asked. 


My head was shaking before I even thought it over. "I'm going to head back to the room."
