FILE.61

The knock at the door came.

Rosie jumped like a frightened cat and slowly walked out of her walk-in closet. For the last hour, she'd paced and fretted until she decided to clean her closet to keep her busy. She stared at the door, thinking that she was about to have the biggest confrontation of her life. And she wasn't entirely wrong.

"Cedric asked you to come down and join him for dinner," Calypso told her when she had the guts to open the door.

Rosie swallowed with difficulty. She hadn't had the appetite to eat dinner earlier and she didn't think she could actually swallow anything in front of him now.

Calypso stared at her with concern. "Are you two fighting?"

"No, we aren't," she quickly denied.

"It's just that... you two have been acting weird these past few days."

"We actually had a little quarrel. But we're fine. Seriously."
