Running away

Maria was starting to get bored. The glamorous ball turned out to be a bland exchange of meaningless words and slow music and dances. She was starting to understand Yuna's and Rachel's preference for their much wilder slumber parties.

Thus the welcome surprise of Mrs. White coming to her.

"Hello, Mrs. White." She said politely, eager for anything different.

"Hello, dear. Come with me, if you will."

"Gladly" Maria may have said that with a bit more enthusiasm than was proper, but thankfully Mrs. White didn't comment on the matter.

She led Maria through the grand hallways of the manor and, after a bit of time, Maria realized they were going towards her dad's room. Mrs. White opened the door and ushered her inside, where her dad was waiting, a bunch of bags at his feet.

"What-" Maria uttered, before her father ran towards her, hugging her tightly, dirtying up her beautiful blue dress.
