Alex Wayne POV
I look at Laura and the girl waiting for an explanation but I notice that the girl seemed to have not eaten in a long time so I decide to order something to eat while they explain to me what happened.
When the girl brought by Laura sees the food, begins to eat as if there were no tomorrow.
So I decided to wait until she finished eating.
The girl who finished eating, was embarrassed to realize her manners and bowing her head says:
"I'm sorry, and thanks for inviting me"
"Girl, now will you tell me what's going on?" I ask her while I take another sip of my drink.
Laura sees that the girl is hesitant to tell me about her problems and tells her:
"It's ok, tell him what's wrong, Alex will help you like he did with me"
The girl gathers her courage and starts to speak.
"My name is Riri Williams and some bad guys are after me"
When I heard her name, I was surprised.
She is the future Iron Heart, which was a surprise to me as I almost choked on my drink.
Calming myself, I ask for more details of what happened.
She begins to explain to me how she ended up in this situation.
A year ago, her parents died in a traffic accident, which caused her to be sent to a foster home, but 8 months ago she ran away from the place because they treated her badly and she has been living on the streets.
Six months ago, when the Stark Expo incident happened, the girl who loves technology collected part of the Hammer robots and was playing with them.
Until a week ago she managed to repair a part of the robot, unfortunately while testing it in an abandoned place, some men discovered her and since then they have been chasing her.
"While I was running away, I discovered that the boss of those men is a person called Kingpin, apparently he put a bounty on my capture" Riri finishes explaining.
The Kingpin.
I frowned upon hearing that name, I know well that mad criminal genius and knowing him he will not leave the girl alone. He also traffics weapons and getting someone to produce them would benefit him.
The girl looked at me expectantly, and Laura just looked at me confident that I would do the right thing.
When I was going to answer a group of six men enter the restaurant and go to our seats.
When they arrived, a man who looked like the leader says:
"Don't make a fuss and hand over the girl"
Riri turned pale when she saw them.
I just smiled at her to calm her down and then I tell her:
"Don't worry girl, since Laura helped you, I'll do it too"
Finishing speaking, I get up thinking that today I still hate the universe of Marvel.
