CHAPTER 15

The evening came faster than Susan had wanted it to. Sure she loved soirees. She loved chatting with other ladies, who never failed to give updates on the latest fashion trends and trending gossip in the town. Talking about shoes and dresses and jewellery wasn't on her list of things to discuss. She wanted to sleep all day since she had barely done that the previous night. Or maybe she could be reading or knitting or thinking about her life she didn't know where it was headed anymore and that was all thanks to a blaggard.

He had always done a terrific job of making her question her sanity. He made her question her values and morals. He made her want things she wasn't supposed to. The man should be hung for making her feel the way she did. It should be a crime to have the sort of power he had over her. It was a good thing he had no idea about the power. There was no doubt he would use it to his advantage.
